New Redline 421 serval Banshee Break in!!!

Finished building the Redline 421 Serval!! Did all heat cycles, and this is the first break in. Didn't last long as it was actually rich. We thought it was lean, but after a couple jet changes, we went down to lean it out. Redline Serval, CNC and Hand ported, 28pwk, t5, v4 reeds, on av gas!!!

Hey I have a build real similar to yours, I've been jetting mine for a long time and finally found a good combo of jets. I have 34mm mikuni TM flat slides, my needle is a 6DH8 with a O-2 needle jet, 310 main and 40 pilot. I'm at about 3k elevation. Mine was doing what yours was that day and the more I leaned things out the better it got.

Was for sure a little to rich but choke wasn't on. The servals do have more grunt in their sound though. But it was rich. We night ride a lot. I keep it a little fat when it gets cooler here at night but I'm 3 Jet sizes leaner than this video.

I just started my 421 build with cp industries serval cub cylinders and 35mm keihnin carbs. What carb setting jets etc would you recommend to start off with? Thanks

Thank you for subscribing amd for the question. The big question is your location. Im actually running 28pwk carbs as I already had them. 35 burns a lot more fuel so as a duner I didn't want to eat fuel. The 28 gives it a little more response. I believe I'm at 145 mains and 42 pilots. But I switch. The starting point depends on elevation ect. 160 would be close I think. Start fat work down always. Better to be fat especially on break in

it was actually way rich. we went up in jets and it only got worse. so leaned it out below where we started and it fixed the issue. was suprised

I got these pipes on a trade deal. I have had them since the beginning of owning it. I love them still on this Redline serval setup but will eventually get some CPI pipes too as they made about 10 more hp on the dyno
