I disagree -- the WBC needed its own set, and it needed to be way bigger than a 50-card online exclusive set. Topps should have marketed it worldwide since it is such a big deal to every other baseball country besides seemingly the US, especially Asian and South American teams. I was very bummed we didn't get a 200-300 card set of all the players in the tournament. I would have eaten that up. Though, I guess this is better than nothing.

I bought 6 boxes from Topps as soon as it released. Pulled 2 autos -- both Vinnie Pasquantino autos. One was the black border. The other... was a red #/5!!! An amazing pull of one of the best players on the auto checklist. I was stoked!

I was able to order the Japanese Team Champion set from Topps Japan and comes with a relic so I'm stoked to get that. Said 40-60 weeks after sale ends though 😅

My 3 boxes came in the mail over the weekend. I had a blast opening this product and pulled numbered parallels of the two best NPB pitchers in Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki. I really wish Topps added enough players, autos, relics and inserts to the checklist for this to be a full hobby release. The WBC was some of the most fun I’ve had watching baseball this year. Would be sweet to get a higher-end release with some national team patch autos.
