One thing that I think you got wrong about Vale of Eternity: the wording of the limit says that you can go over four stones but must immediately discard down to four. So if you have four ones and are given a three you can discard a one to make room for it

I really like Vale of Eternity. We have been playing it and the things I like is the coin limitation of 4, the round limitation on cards in front of you, speed of the setup, and the varied number of strategies. It feels like you get a lot of value for the money. Sweet spot for us is three players.

Great video! I don’t have any interest in any of the games presented but it was a nice format to learn about them, in depth enough to get a feeling for the game but not too long. Also get what you’re saying about games staying because the family wants to play them. We play In the footsteps of Darwin way too much just because it is a good family game that even a more seasoned board gamer can stand (in opposite to some kid-games). A good game is a game that gets played! Keep up the good work, you are sooo close to 10k now.

How many times have you played Vale of Eternity and at what player counts? And for Courtisans, are there player counts you would recommend more than others? I find myself continually in the hunt for fairly shorter easy to teach/play 5 player games. (generally most of my playing is usually 2 or 5)
