*New* Renegade Build Is OP In WvW Roaming - Guild Wars 2

Renegade was buffed in the most recent balance patch, gaining additional damage and quality of life when it comes to things like crit chance, or even more damage on key abilities such as kalla’s fervor, and the shortbow. While these changes put renegade in an even better spot, they also opened up the potential for new and better builds. The salvation renegade being one of them.

Tbh, i wouldn't have minded this turning into a full guide. I like pvp footage with commentary and find it extremely helpful and interesting to understand a build and it's decision making and get better at the game. Gameplay montages with music never have been my jam. Maybe i'm just not a visual learner.

Hiya, yeah you can run this in a group. I would swap out one of the legends with ventari if you're doing this, and play as a support hybrid with projectile block :)

This build is great! As a rev main, always wanted a ranged option. For some reason sigil of cleansing is not working every 2nd, 3rd or 4th weapon swap, maybe a new bug coz that what’s getting me killed….

Could be, just remember it has a 9 sec internal cd

Exactly there is a 9sec cd on sigil. However with the cleansing sigil plus generosity sigil plus invocation legend swap cleanse plus dodge cleanse plus staff 4 , you should never really have issues with condi anymore to be honest

I often find that there is a delay on shortbow 3 if Phase Traversal hits. Sometimes it goes on like a 1 sec cooldown as if i've been stun. Is this common? I am thinking it seems like more of if enemy moves towards me in Phase Traversal, and shortbow 3 has delay in adjusting to target...not sure

Revenenat by far is the most fun to me. For Zerg hopping id probably say thief/Mesmer since they have good out of combat mobility.

I was a long-time roamer on Renegade, but it felt like it couldn't keep up with the new EOD specs for quite some time. But... this build changed everything. Damage, sustain, mobility, this one has it all, as you said. I am rather on my beloved Renegade again than bringing a Cele Harbinger or Willbender. Thank you very much to bringing this to my attention!

I like this build but with Antitoxin Runes instead. Every legend swap and dodge removes two Conditions plus with Generosity Sigil that is another two removed. I think this shores up Renegades biggest weakness....conditions

Disgusting condition removal. Why is it ok to make builds completely immune to conditions. But it would be considered absurd to make a build take 95% reduced damage 100% of the time? Glorious balancing by Anet as usual.

Hi, I usually have good ping. But I do get lag spikes occasionally. Could’ve been one of those.

I am torn between Song of the mists or charged mists. I find myself too many times in need of more energy especially when u fight multiple enemies. But maybe charged mists is too unreliable in fight? Any thoughts?

I can never get renegade to work in wvw, especially if you get surprised by 4 or 5 man and need to escape .

I'm not he biggest fan of cele but i think it's very fun and and beneficial on rev and ele specifically. The classes are a bit all over the place and cele makes everything they do feel worthwhile and satisfying.
