I'd deffo love for Carole to return as Susan so she could pass on the torch via regeneration. Carole's still around and willing to be her again, so let her do it I say. But how about making that even more bittersweet by making her regenerate ALONGSIDE Ncuti in his final episode? So 15 and Susan regenerate at the same time into new bodies that end up being a potential new duo for a future series. Would be an amazing way to pay tribute to the past while also moving forward to the future.

They may well film Susan's emotional reunion with the doctor, but keep it for when the 15th Doctor Regenerates. Imagine he dies fighting the Trickster and at the end goes to 22nd century and sees Susan and her family from a distance. He wants to say hello, but the damage he has suffered is too much, and he can't hold on, However, Susan sees him, comes over, and holds his hands, allowing him to stabilise and say hello and a final goodbye before she lets go of him, and he regenerates.

There is an interview with Waris Hussein made by two fans, it's on the internet, he wasn't too happy with the current state of the show, that was during the Jodie tenure, maybe his views have changed, if they get Susan, get Waris as director/co-director, maybe get a guest actress from the first season like Ilona Rogers(Sensorites) or Virginia Wetherell(original Daleks story). I've thought about it since I was a kid, if I was a show-runner, I'd get Susan back Episode One.

I agree that we should see the original actress for Susan Foreman. But the fact that she is a Time Lord does mean that she can regenerate. So hypothetically, she could come back as a completely different actress (or actor?). It was stated that the Master was killed. Rather than bring him back again, let that be a permadeath. That could be an excuse to bring in the Rani. I can be a shout out to Classic Who, it can allow for the Master to stay dead, and it could bring a new way to implement a foil for the Doctor.

I’m all for Susan to return to the show, but what would they do with her? Would it be a cameo, as a recurring character, or a full time companion? Will Carole Anne Ford make a cameo appearance, then Susan regenerates? Can she? Is she even a Time Lord/ Lady? Is she even the Doctor’s granddaughter, or was this just a pattern they fell into, to explain why a young girl was spending her time with an old man? Why was an older Susan with the First Doctor, in the Five Doctors - does this mean it is canon that a bi-generated First Doctor did come back, and they travelled together again, if only for a while? The return of Sarah-Jane Smith in School Reunion was one of my favourite episodes of the revival. It was contrived, but cleverly contrived, and it led to Lis Sladen getting her own spin-off show, and cameos in Who, until her untimely passing. Perhaps they could do something similar with Susan’s character? There’s a lot to consider, and a lot to unpack, before bringing Susan back. Cheers,

I think its a mistake to bring back susan the actress oh by all means she seems wonderful. But narratively speaking I only want it to happen by the doctor going to susan not susan finding the doctor. I feel like though we want susan its not what we actually want. I dont know there's a massive story potential with Susan but all of the meaningful ones that wouldnt tokenize Susan as nostalgia bait or a massive woke/ DEI move, would appear to be narrative conclusions. Its a very difficult situation with susan she is different from all others shes a timelord shes the original. They only get to bring her back once. And if they mis time it or waste it. Well it would end doctor who whether they wanted to or not.

RTD’s writing is atrocious and I feel that bringing Susan back is like dangling a carrot for Classic fans to return to watch and then messing up her return just as he messed up Sutekh’s return. Would have been better for the twelfth Doctor to have been the one to be reunited with Susan.
