There is a limit, you can have a maximum of 5 since Amex has a 5 credit card limit and a 10 charge card limit. Glad you found the channel!

I have a trip to Hawaii in January And a trip planned for July to a cruise but will stay the night in Fl the day before we leave, there goes my $400 semi credit. I really like that change!

Nice! Glad you’re gonna benefit well from it. Just make sure the hotel is on the Hilton resorts website, I don’t want you accidentally missing out on the credit just because it has Hilton “resort” in the name

The new look of the Hilton Surpass and Aspire which I actually like, looks similar to that of the “AMEX Charles Schwab Investor Card”. And maybe they are trying to tell us something with that white Hilton Honors card, like maybe the Apple Card is coming to the AMEX lineup soon 😆

Currently trying to test if I can get the flight credit before 01Jan to double dip the credit it replaced. Will definitely be using the elevated resort credit to completely pay for rooms if the slopes open in December near me. There’s a $122 Hilton resort in Lancaster, PA

first thing i thought of when i saw the design and saw that it was metal was it looked like the marriott bonvoy, either how, i'm excited for the new design and have mines on the way...get good use of my card as is now...do you know if it the resort benefit can be double dip...reading the updated benefits, you can still use the $250 benefit until 31 Dec and on 1 Jan the 200 semi anual benefit takes affect...so theoretically could one use the 250 credit in december and then then the 200 credit in jan

Looking into it now, you can definitely use the $250 still if you haven’t used it yet this year and you opened your card prior to 19OCT. But if your card renews between now and December 31st and you’ve already used your benefit, I don’t think you can double dip again because it’s a calendar year benefit not a card member year benefit, so it doesn’t make a difference when your card renews for that particular benefit.

Honestly, the changes dont seem bad. If you stay a few times during the year then the card is probably worth it. I was going to shoot for this today, but looks like im in puj 😅. I was literally getting offers for this card just a few months ago. The algorithm is so weird. If i was still active it'd be a no brainer since I'd get it free. Thanks for the informative video though 👍

Np and yeah definitely a no brainer for those who are active mil. After my $200 flight credit datapoint is complete, I’ll have a better idea of how much better or worse this revamp is, simply because I can quantify the return from the card both realistically and aspirationally

Yeah I just took a look at the Surpass changes and the $200 resort credit isn’t really usable. I hope the quarterly thing is a mistake and it’s actually supposed to be $100 semi-annually like how the Aspire is $200 semi-annually

They basically increased the annual fee, removed Priority Pass, lowered flight credit… I don’t see how this is positive

They increased Hilton resort credit by $150. They added clear, they added rental car perks…. The annual fee has always been way too low for the value the card brings. Working on a datapoint in my community tab now to see if the flight credit is still as liquid as I’ve been accustomed to

They could’ve increased the AF without removing any previous benefits. Clear is useless since any other major card offers Global Entry and the resort credit will incentivize you into more spending.

Most cards have cut back on priority pass benefits, I think the best cards for priority pass currently are the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Citi Prestige, and Chase Ritz Carlton card because they let you access priority pass restaurants, but 2 of those cards no longer take apps.

Resort credit could come in handy still without overspending, there is a Hilton resort in Lancaster PA near where I will be snowboarding this winter that is only $122. That is well below the $200 semi annually. You’ll have to find ways to make that credit work for you, every Hilton property on the resorts list isn’t $450 per night like in Whistler British Columbia Canada

They didn’t lower the flight credit. They added a flight credit and removed the airline incidental credit. I will happily take a flight credit over an incidental credit that I never use.

Hello, My question is i used $250 resort credit and $250 airline credit already and my renewal date is in 27October. If I renew my card, Do I get to spend another $250 resort credit before 31 December? And i will get $200 resort credit in January and $50 airline credit per quarter?

Good question! I know for the flight credit, you get that again even if you’ve used all of your $250 airline fee credit this year. The desktop online version of your count has a reseted tracker on it. My guess is You won’t get the $250 resort credit after your renewal on the 27th, and that you will have to wait until 01Jan to start getting the $400 resort credit ($200 semi-annually). I’ll do some more research and get back to you

After thinking about it logically, since that’s a calendar year benefit, not a card-member year benefit, you won’t be able to double dip that $250 credit after 27Oct since it doesn’t matter when you renewed within a year, it only matters that you used it within the year. You’ll get the new credit starting 01Jan. The flight credit may be usable now since I see an online tracker for it. Stay tuned to my datapoint in the Community Tab. A notification will come out once it’s complete so just make sure you’re tap’d in to notifications

No, $250 resort credit was card member year benefit. Here’s the old terms and condition, Each cardmember year (defined by when you opened the account), you and your authorized users will receive up to a total of $250 in Hilton resort statement credits.

Okay, my mistake, if you decide to renew, perhaps they can give a retention bonus, and then you can ask customer support which benefits you’re getting. It would make sense though if you’re able to get your $200 from 27OCT to 31DEC, then your next $200 on 01Jan-30Jun

No for those who’ve had the card before 19OCT. They will get the $400 starting 01JAN24. Yes for the $200 flight credit, I checked my online account on desktop and all three of my aspires show the credit hasn’t been used yet even though I fully used the $250 this year on all of them
