Even Ricky can’t say that Usyk clearly won and uses the “open to interpretation” as to appease the Fury Family who like any tyrannical regime will not tolerate any criticism.
@hotrodd2925 күн бұрын
No thats YOUR interpretation. Ricky said the best man won. I spoke to Ricky in Plymouth last month, and he told me he thought Usyk had a good chance of beating Fury. I scored the fight as Usyk wins by a single point. With the 9th round being the deciding factor. So if a judge had it for fury by a point then it was open to interpretation. There are fury haters that think Fury was obliterated and got destroyed. That’s clearly not the case

There’s a lot of post fight advice as to what Fury should have done, but it doesn’t take account of how Usyk would have reacted. Ricky has a wealth of experience but if Fury had got on the front foot and committed himself with more power shots early on, he would likely have got punished on the counter. I think Fury had good reason to be cautious early on.
@Jimbo801226 күн бұрын
Exactly. This is why Joshua tried to box Usyk. Joshua was scared of being countered into oblivion. Ruiz countered him in their 1st fight and we all know what happened there. If Ruiz could do it, Usyk certainly could. People say Joshua should go in all guns blazing against Usyk if there's a 3rd fight, but it's a massive risk. It might work out, but he could get knocked our fairly quickly. Joshua doesn't have the chin to do that and neither does Fury. Fury had the right strategy against Usyk using his reach and the uppercut. He's just under 6ft 8 and has an 85 inch reach so it makes sense to utilise these significant physical advantages. Fury just got tired and got caught. It was a very close fight apart from the 9th. One of course could argue that the fight should have been stopped in the 9th but it wasn't and so I thought Usyk won by 1 point on the scorecards. I think Usyk will win the 2nd fight, but it's entirely possible that Fury pulls it out of the bag and sets up a 3rd encounter.
@MrManny07525 күн бұрын
Fury should have taken this fight more seriously as he did with Wilder the wilder ones were fighting this one was boxing, and the next one, going to be a fight, did you see any rage on Fury's face? @@camwells9726 Fury started showboating in the first round. Then, after he lost the first three rounds, he stepped it up, stopped showboating and threw the body shots in, which Usyk soaked up no problem. It was the uppercuts that were causing the damage. Fury won rounds 4, 5 and 6, and it was in the 6th round that he really hurt Usyk with an uppercut. But at the start of the 7th round, Fury was leggy and Usyk increased the pace and then went on to win the fight. The clean work was coming from Usyk, The first 2 rounds were certainly Usyk's. 3rd is debatable. Fury then took the next 3 rounds. Fairly even halfway through. Usyk I thought won 7th but very close. Usyk then took over from 8th onwards and got knockdown. Fury had a really good few rounds up to end of 6th. It was a clear victory for Usyk. Ricky is clearly torn and struggling to give an objective view of Tyson's performance in this fight. Tyson was clearly outsmarted by Usyk. Usyk forced Tyson from the first round and even when Tyson was coring well, which he did, it was largely because Usyk was controlling the action and forcing Tyson the fight. Usyk was the ring general. 7-5 Usyk is closest Fury came in this match.

Have noted that there are so many fury Fans who still find it had to accept this loss. Usyk fought a big powerful AJ twice and DD...Fury fought Nganou from MMA...Who was better prepared?

I think Fury thought the body shots would do it... which was a big assumption.

"The eye of the Tiger" is a very old boxing saying!!! But in the Tyson Fury case it has never been truer!!! Tyson Fury had the "eye of the tiger " for 1, 2 & 3 D Wilder fights, then for D Whyte & D Chisore he didn't really need it to beat both off them, as he was the much superior boxer. Look at T Furys eyes & A Usyks eyes as the ref is talking to them b4 the fight starts round one. Usyk has " the eye of a tiger"! T Fury has lost it!!!! T Fury could have 10 rematchs but wouldnt win them, his time is over, hes done!!!

It's too bad for Fury that Usyk decided to move up the heavyweight otherwise there's a chance he may have going down as the best of his generation if he was to have fought and beat AJ and a couple of others, I always knew he wasn't the best ever like some people claim, that's just ridiculous
