Hi everyone! My final thoughts on this foundation are that even though it has a beautiful finish, the wear just doesn't hold up. It creases, rubs off, and gets too oily for my liking. If you have dry/very dry skin you might enjoy this but other than that I think there are definitely foundations I reach for more.

I really think coconut oil is unnecessarily demonized. The tests that were done to determine an ingredient’s comedogenic rating were done decades ago on the ears of bunnies. I have never had a problem with coconut oil. I am not saying some people don’t, but I highly doubt everyone who demonizes coconut oil actually has a problem with it.

Sydney Baker I definitely agree the comedogenic scale shouldn’t be a one size fits all type of deal, I personally don’t use a lot of coconut oil because I know my sensitive skin gets clogged easily with heavier oils that sit on top of the skin, such as coconut oil. As with most skincare and makeup ingredients I think it’s best to pay attention to your own skin and how it reacts to certain ingredients! Thanks for watching ❤️

@@ambercotrone I feel as though people that have issues with coconut oil are unaware that it actually draws toxins out of your body through it's largest organ which is your skin and that is when a person sees a breakout happening and immediately believes they are allergic to it or whatever. It's a good thing actually to have it come out. I, myself LOVE coconut oil for beauty and many other uses around the house as well.

I love the jar & cream format, but I did do a 3 mo of not purchasing foundation. I basically went back to using the same foundation I’ve been using for about 3 years. I don’t understand the value proposition of these brands all launching foundations at this point. :/

Same here! I always try to find a better one... I love Double Wear and Fresh Wear from L'oreal. Yet, I always want better. I decided to stop buying foundations too. Got a sample of the new Smashbox one. Horrible after a few hours on my combo skin. It looked like chalk and there were patches where I got rain on my face (supposed to be water resistent) some patches oxidized and others did not. I looked so dry! From the reviews that are made for all the new foundations, it goes to show that almost none of them live up to the claims.

@@Annieriannie Agh! That's so frustrating. I'm sorry you haven't found something that works really well for you yet. But yeah, samples are definitely the right approach. I had heard SO many great things about the Double Wear, but I couldn't get it to work for me unfortunately. My skin also tends to lighten & tan depending on the time of year, so the difference can be very drastic. So the idea of full-coverage, perfect match is kind of bonkers. These days I mostly wear a medium coverage that I can at least blend to match.

I only set under my eyes and around my nose with a small brush (using the W3ll People Bio Brightener Baked Powder: w3llpeople.com/bio-brightener-baked-powder.html). Then I misted my whole face with Youth to the People's Adaptogen Mist (www.youthtothepeople.com/products/adaptogen-soothe-hydrate-activated-mist). I kept this on hand to rehydrate and mist throughout the day as well. I hope this helps!

I've been using the concealer as foundation lol. This looks exactly like the concealer but in a bigger jar... For me personally it's way to dewy and shiny it makes me look like sweaty and shiny instantly and my skin is never shiny or oily I have very dry skin.
