I hadn’t noticed the other two, but as I saw the titanium brown I was super intrigued and got it out of curiosity. It’s getting here so, I’m super excited to try it!

where are the tubes mister Szmal !!!! the whole world is waiting . Sennelier's cerulean blues are both PB28 . I wonder if Roman Szmal version will be opaque as well . looks verry pretty on the screen . thank you Vee . you are becoming the Watercolor NEWS Reporter a little bit more each day .

hahaha~ i honestly wonder how the formula for tubes will be different from pans. i thought it would've been harder to make pan formula. OR... i have a theory that maybe they're just slowly manufacturing tubes for each colour and waiting til theyy finish tubes for all the colours before making them available. i remember RS saying that they have a small 'factory' which is too small to mass produce i assume.

I wonder, too, if the formulation is too difficult. I think of RS pans like my M. Graham tubes…they’re both hard to picture in the other’s put-up, if that makes sense? I actually spoke with the owner of M. Graham several years ago, when I’d gotten a bad tube in a set…he answered the phone when I called! He was just as kind and knowledgeable as everyone says RS is, and it was a real privilege to get to chat with him a bit. I asked if dot cards were on the radar for MG paints, & he said they had no way of making/distributing them due to the formulation of their paints. I was newer to the line at the time…after using them (in an *extremely* arid climate, no less) for years now, I’m embarrassed that I even asked. Those paints NEVER dry in a pan! Just the THOUGHT of those on a dot card gives “disastrous mess with permanent stains everywhere” vibes. I wonder if RS is having a “reverse but same” kind of problem with the translation of tacky-yet-solid pans…

Roman Szmal does not disappoint! I‘ll probably wait until the local art store has them and definitely try the dark version of pg17: I am interested how it relates to the original version of Rinmann green thar us sadly not really available in watercolor.

I've been waiting for these colors to be available! The green interests me the most. But the titanium brown is interesting too because it's a unique pigment. I didn't get the blue because I have so many Roman Szmal blues. 😆 (I also grabbed a few other things. I don't know how long they will last, but if you type in 'sample' they have some super cheap Golden samples, including Qor watercolor :))

I thought PBr48 was a brown like Burnt Sienna, at least that is what it looked like when I first saw it in a pigment ad.
