New Rooster

Here's what Wikipedia has to say about a frizzled chicken. A Frizzled Chicken has one frizzle gene and one normal gene. Because the frizzle gene is dominant, the normal gene is “Trumped” and is prevented from producing straight feathers. So you learn something new everyday. The birds are getting along fine for anyone who wonders.

We live rural so it's okay. I was out feeding them this afternoon and noticed Mr. Gene Frizzle has lost all his neck feathers. He's a nice bird. Never aggressive.

We aren't allowed to have roosters either. Currently we have 7 hens and 2, err, pre-op transgender chickens..

That roo will struggle in bad weather especially as your run has no weather protection. He will struggle to stay warm and dry. I wouldnt recomend that breed for outside living. They need alit of shelter.

no web sites on how to introduce a rooster to an existing flock...11 hens..new roo..where's the info? my existing rooster went crazy with 6 added hens and new roo

This guy is to small for these hens, they will accept him by time but biger rooster will be better option for these hens. If you want your hens to be happy and satisfied, find some biger non-agressive rooster and left that boy as decorative bird in the yard. You will have small problems betwen them about a fight for the hens in the begining but by the time i belive they will accept eachother, smaller will accept domination of biger rooster.
