Never saw someone take off the exhaust to put on springs before

It was due to the way he took the off. Exhaust was blocking screw/bolt from coming all the way out. Only had to drop it. Didn’t have to fully remove it.

Why did you not do RSR Active Coilvers?!?!?! This car deserves better than springs... Its gonna ride like a Cheap Truck now!

It rides just fine. Just like oem. What sucks is coils after they settle. I know plenty of folks with coils and they don’t like them after a while. Springs are the better way if you are daily driving. Not sure what springs you buy but all mine works just fine.

I’ve always done springs on my cars. Coilovers were probably the way to go for this one tho. Gonna try a few things first and see if i need to or not.

Hey man, Im taking delivery of a 2020 RC F (black as well 😉). I have been bouncing between the Invidia and the Revel. I was curious what your experience with the Invidia has been as a fellow CA resident, with our sh*t laws and such. Any problems with waking the neighbors on cold starts? Do you daily drive it?

Yes I daily drive and no you won’t have a problem with waking the neighbors. This exhaust to me is perfect. Sounds great and it gets loud when you get on it. It definitely gets louder over time has it starts to get dirty from behind used but it’s nothing crazy on the cold starts. Now if you put PPE header on with the exhaust. Now that’s a different story lol. But the Invidia is perfect bro. I get a lot of compliments on the sound of my car.

I have been leaning towards the Invidia but keep flip flopping out of worry of pissing off the neighbors, voiding powertrain warranty, etc. General consensus seems to be it’s not crazy loud. It’s just hard to tell bc every cold start video on YT is from like 1 foot away from the exhaust tips 😂 Thanks for your feedback!

Hey man, Wish I had known before you purchased, but RSR Springs with RCF is not a good match. They are not stiff enough to handle the weight. They are famous (or rather infamous) for blowing out OEM dampers. The spring rates are not well matched to the OEM dampeniing (in other words, springs are on the softer side) so they cause the OEM dampers to blown out. You should have went with Swift Springs R Spec. Those have good spring rates that are well matched to the OEM dampers. The RSR springs don't handle well on the RCF as well. One RCF owner says the rear sags because of the RSR springs. Anyway, did not want to be negative nelly, but just wanted to let you know as those OEM dampers are expensive so that you could keep an eye on those dampers.

Damn bro. Thanks for letting me know, and you’re right. They do sag in the rear. I’ll have to swap them out. Something told me to go with the swift springs 🤦🏾‍♂️

@@hewantsmoke83 Yeah man, go with Swift Spec R springs. Slightly, less aggressive drop, but way better quality and match to the OEM dampers. They have 2 kg/mm higher spring rates on the rear so that will solve sagging/bottoming out issue. You will be really happy. They have really good spring rates. Never heard of anyone blowing out dampers on Swift Spec R. Both handling will be OEM-like and also no sag. Cheers!
