Been here since near the OW beta times and honestly I think this is all warranted. Do I miss the OW content? Sure, but I also miss when it was a very much thriving game with lots of updates. I'm not much of a Valorant guy but I check in these videos now and again to see what's happening. This channel will go in the direction you want it to, and that's always best for a passion project and a job. The content you both provided over the years has been both useful and entertaining to many people including myself, and no matter how the channel changes that much will never go missed. I think a good idea might be: in a long patch note video, refer them to the short form patch note video on the other channel at the start of the video. Then nobody can complain about you "bloating the video for ad revenue" Idk how this works with the algorithm though as that will definitely descrease the overall watch time per click

About the Shorties channel, why are you choosing the KZbin shorts format over simply making the videos on that channel "normal format" videos? I have noticed that in the billion shorts I've watched in the past, some content can get obscured by the vertical format. I can easily imagine having to squint my eyes in order to get a proper look at some details on skins, for example. You also mentioned that if there are minor changes in patch notes or something similar, that you'd put that on the Shorties channel, too. Same story here, really. It would make the information a lot easier to process, if news like that were posted in the "normal format" of videos. I guess the main argument in favour of the KZbin Shorts format, as opposed to the "normal format" would be the amount of people that the Shorties content would reach. KZbin Shorts are amazing at generating views and getting yourself known to a larger audience. Lastly, I'm glad you've made a video about this and didn't just leave such important announcements in a community post. I'm looking forward to the future of RyanCentral and more of your enjoyable style of content!
