I'm starting to wish you just moved the DH tank to the outdoor storage area (I know, I know, it's easier said than done), so that you had room to gather all your planned saltwater tanks in that corner area, including the quarantine tank. Seems much more practical to gather all the hoses, sumps etc needed to keep the saltwater tanks running into one area, to minimise the risk for that anyone by mistake e.g. moves a saltwater hose to a "normal" tank, or the other way around. If I've forgotten a decision about placing the saltwater tanks somewhere else than in that corner area near that door, I still presume that moving the DH would leave space to move other tanks, which in turn would free up space so that you could put up the saltwater tanks somewhere else. I realise that the DH might not do so well outside even under a roof, but at this point, I think that matters less than that it takes up valuable space which you can use better.

They still need to repair/reinforce the concrete structure beneath that corner of the pool room before adding any significant water volume to any tanks there. The DH is obviously a huge *empty* volume and so is the salty that BR was designing when he noticed his cement floor there was sinking. I've no idea what the current plan is. Maybe now that spring is here we will see it addressed soon. SFMF.

Josh, congratulations on your wedding, Peace and Blessings for you and your entire family. I was thinking, you still have the Dewight Howard tank. Have you considered seeing if Brian Barchecks team may not be able to use it without making any alterations. You guys could see if there interested and can us it for displays, teaching opportunities, or whatever. That tank was custom made and should be preserved. Just trying to help, later.

The OFR crew have said a few times that this offer was made and declined by the Legasea team. The DH being "custom made" is neither here nor there in my opinion since *all* the Tanked stuff (good, bad and awful) were by definition also custom jobs. The Liberty Bell, The Washington Monument and an alleged used undershirt from the late President Taft are not all equally worthy of historical preservation at any cost. The DH is more notorious than worthy of great respect at this point. It's a matter of making sensible use of it more than it being preserved like a treasured museum piece. Just my opinion of course.

Welcome back Josh, glad to hear the trip went well. :) For the new salt tank, how low should the water be from the top so when you stick new fish in, the tank doesnt overflow and the salt water gets down in the monster pond? Not that a slight bit of salt should impact that large water volume much.
