With an RTX 2070 Super, i7 9700, 16GB and I’m gonna be honest, in maps like Spider-Islands, I get 90 FPS on minimum settings, 1080p. With these new settings, I get… 90 fps. Nothing changed. I went in a custom game with bots (to simulate the performance of a real match) on that map and couldn’t for the life of me get above 100 fps on that map, while on other maps I get EASILY 200+. The bad optimization people keep talking about in this game is 100% map based. Some maps mess your stuff up real bad. Real bad. Which actually gives me hope, because there must be a way to fix it if it’s just map based. Probably something they overlooked that’s wasting resources for no reason

U need to optimize your pc lol, im on the same specs besides gpu im running 2060 super and im getting 144-170fps, I just switched to windows 11 and got a huge fps boost, before i was on windows 10 21h2 and was getting 90-120

fps is not the problem at least for me, is the amount of time it cost to enter in to a match, i have a 2070 super and its ok and the game goes perfect but always when i play im the last one to pick a character, like it could pass like a minute of the match entirely and i cant do shit cause its still loading and it makes no sense.

if you havent got one I would recommend an M.2 NVMe SSD, it loads games extremely quickly

@@Phalco im on medium settings with fsr on, but i did tune down my resolution, I also recently reapplied my thermal paste. Settings usually don't do much for my 1650 since its a really old card. For newer games like elden ring or remnant, only tuning down resolution have a significant change for me.

The Performence setting is dogshit, it says i have 250 fps while my game freezes to a point it crashes and the freezes last to 1min

This means your rig can’t handle effects and that high fps, you need to cap it

nah this still isn’t the case, i played native which was 2k but had to go to 1080p with my super resolution down to 39 on intel xess and it still didn’t work. my game will have the worst stutters known to man and frame out in the middle of fights. happens every time i load in a game as well i have a 1080gpu but even on ow it’s a constant 143 fps at low. games a joke for optimization. they had new settings for turning off things and it somehow still didn’t change a thing

Performance mode made a big difference for me. Slightly higher frame rate but i dont have those massive dips into 50fps from 120fps anymore. Im using i7 9th gen and rx6750xt if anyone is curious. Everyrhing medium + performance.

performance setting takes away fps btw xD at least it did for me. no change in fps and I think the smoothness people are talking about is the servers got fixed from launch, Im now getting 140ms to saudi and 170 to frankfurt where as before I was getting 180 and 210. performance not fixed. servers just upgraded

The problem with the unreal 5 engine is that it draws more power from the processor than from the graphics card. If you have a weak processor, you will have weak FPS even with 5090. Generally, the rule is that the maximum number of FPS displayed on the screen is the capacity of your graphics card, and the minimum number of FPS is the maximum capacity of your CPU.
