THEORY Maybe that shadow is some person that has constantly tortured the neighbor (Why he was crying) so the neighbor finally kidnapped the person who has made him suffer which is that shadow, like when it was approaching in the golden apple cutscene, it was coming to do something mean like maybe tease him about a painful memory or something much worse that I can't think of

i think the shadow is the first boss and the basket ball minigame is the boss fight plus i don't think you need a key for that minigame just all the other power from the other games (shopping minigame, double jump minigame, escape the neighbor minigame) and of course removing the water from that room

Okay so far, all the mini games (except for the pantry) have been connected to like areas around the town outside of the Hello Neighbor map. There was the supermarket and the school. So what's this supposed to be? The factory?It's definately not the church. Or the hospital.

maybe the factory was originally meant for the super throw power but it got removed for some reason thats my theory at least also im making this theory because we never got an explanation of where we got the super throw and because this is a minigame where you throw ball for the manequins to go catch,maybe you would've originally been able to super throw the ball so that it gives you more time.

Mike, what if the neighbour is a actually the good guy and he's trying to keep the shadow sealed inside the house because it's evil. When the room by the stairs is opened there's a shadow inside the bed covers, which could be proof of that theory.

And then the player is dead, but reliving what happened numerous times until he finds a way out of "death" and that's why he never really has a game over.

What if there is no victim? What if the Neighbor is simply battling his past? What if whats hidden in the basement is not a victim but instead objects from the Neighbors past? What if whats inside is the shadow? And the shadow haunts him, constantly remind him of the times when he was bullied as a child? This mini game you found now could represent how the other children used to bully him, hounding him to play with them when he didn't want to? This could represent that, them forcing him to play games with him? The fear levels, the pantry level, could represent that everyone is bigger and stronger than him. Such as with the pantry level, with everything bigger then him, white eyes larger than him, seemingly throwing things at him as if they have more control over him. The school level, with the bell and everything, could represent how the kids used to bully him aswell. You could play as the neighbor as a child. And we just haven't realized it yet. I'm sure theres a million things against this. But it was just a random thought. A random theory. A GAME THEORY nah jk
