You arent able to use the foglight functionality because you did not use the oem fog light connector. However, I did. I also did not route wires all to the trunk (OMG that would be a massive pain in th a-). I used the oem connector, bought T-connectors from amazon, and used the T connector to connect the yellow wire to each front camera on the inside of the wheel well (this way I didnt have to remove either camera). Ive had the same fog lights installed for about 6 months now, I have all functionality and zero wires inside my cars cabin 😎

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, I have seen that kit and thought about the shorter route to just tap into the repeater camera but wanted to go with the longer route since many people get nervous about even the safe T connector tapping. I definitely think your method is much cleaner and efficient.

hello, thanks for the video, I also have those lights on my M3P 2021 but my installation was different, much simpler, I took the turn signal from the lights that are above the side cameras, it was very simple, now at night I always bring the fog lights, they also turn on when I unlock the doors with my FOB key. I really like your videos, you do a very good job with your Tesla, congratulations

Standard range: purple to red and black to black. Yellow to repeater. That’s all u need!!!

Shiva I have now added the light, to my model 3 I used the alternative method of connecting it straight into the original wires that were connected to the original lights just swooping them over without running in the back lights and by connecting to the turn signal on the side repeaters green for left side yellow for right you don’t lose functionality of the fog button it works as it should, the yellow wire on the light is not long enough I was able to use a pice of the wire that came with the kit to make it work I have spoken to Hanshow who will look at extending these yellow wires on there lights this way it was much easier install with no loss off the fog button thanks for your great video it helped install and allow me to think outside the box to improve the experience.I will leave a link of your video with mine so people will be able to do booth methods

Does NOT WORK properly on 2022 RWD. When engaging brakes the ambers both illuminate. I went through frustration with Hansshow explaining this. After back and forth they “say” they will make a new harness for me. No timeline for delivery….. I don’t have my hopes up. I’m glad you get al this free stuff but I wish it would work. Install, uninstall and re-hook up o factory harness and side repeater. Pain in the As?!

Looks like a good option for standard range cars without a factory fog light. For the LR and Performance versions it looks like you lose a true and proper fog light which in conditions of fog there would be a loss of this functionality. Also with such an invasive wiring need would there be a possible warranty issue if something in the lighting system had a problem?

Your getting way better with the instructional videos. One question I have is are the cables there to instal the fog light on a 2022 rwd base model? Is it the same process?

Thank you very much for your kind words. I believe it is exactly the same process. I haven't heard anyone mentioned this specification changed on the 2022 models. So, this same kit should work.

I don't like the fact that you eliminate the front Amber side marker light with this upgrade. Or call it a running or parking light. With the upgrade all you have is a amber turn signal or it's off or it's a white fog light.

So if you already had fog lights and you have no use for the harness and you just plug directly while tapping into the side camera for the turn signals …the fog light icon and toggle will work as normal?

Do your amber lights for the fog lights come on when the brakes are applied? I installed them and the ambers light up with the brake lights.
