This was great, Tammy. Thank you! I have a question about the Golden Fluid compared to the other paints. With the more bodied paints, you added in pouring medium as needed. However, with the Golden Fluid, doesn't your consistency depend on the consistency of the pouring medium then since you add so little paint? How does that affect your pour when the Golden colors will probably be a much different consistency than your other paints?

Ty ty ty for this video I couldn't figure out why my craftsmart was cracking even tho I had at the correct constancyand wasn't alot of paint on canvas since it moved very slow when I tilted. If I understood this correctly I should only be using the craftsmart plus my pva pm . I was trying to make my glue last longer so I was adding more water so I was doing one part paint one part pm and 1 part water so I think I have been breaking the binder . I am gonna try the craftsmart and just pva glue pm and try again. I'm a caregiver for free for my parents since they don't qualify for ihss. so I am unemployed and on very limited supplies which I get for christmas or birthday so this was very helpful I hope I understood this correctly

Thanks for a great tutorial!! My question is …I see artist using GAC…and then I see people using glue, then I see people using Flotroll, and some use only water…so confusing! 🙀
@tammyandersonart
@tammyandersonart 2 жыл бұрын
Yup it is very confusing and what I can say is this. Paint and water only is rarely ever used however some like to use it just for the Dutch Pour technique and that is because that technique the paints need to be thin so it works well. It will give you very minimal amounts of lacing. Now take that same paint and water recipe and add some floetrol into it and the look of the painting will be totally different as far as effects like cells and lacing. GAC 800 is actually used as a pouring medium too. Some people prefer that over the one I used today . And then depending on which technique your doing the ingredients may need to change so that you achieve a certain effect such as doing a pearl cell technique. Thise type of pearl cells are different from.others and are caused by using something like a aatin enamel in the white paint so this is what I can say. If there is a technique that you want to do that you really like, find an artist that does that one technique all the time and try to use whatever it is that they use. Practice with those ingredients and then once you get a bit more comfortable doing that technique become a mad scientist like me and try blending different ingredients to see if you can get different effects. I'm hoping over the next few weeks with these videos I'm doing that it will help clear up some of this for you. ❤

Tammy you are amazing! Quick ? When you are talking about the floetrol used for the addition to the paint and pm… do you use Australian floetrol for that? Or just for the cell activator? Thank you SO much for all you do! Much love and merry Xmas!!!
@tammyandersonart
@tammyandersonart 2 жыл бұрын
Merry Christmas my friend 💗 no when I refer to floetrol here I'm referring to American floetrol. The only time I will use the Australian Floetrol is when I'm using it in one color as a cell activator for something like a bloom swipe or blowing out a bloom. However if you wanted to use the Australian floetrol in all of your colors it would work fine its just way to expensive for those that live in America to use that way. If you live in Australia however then it's 20 bucks a gallon lol

I'll be watching all these new series vids you're putting out Tammy. You are the best teacher, I might not be the best student since I'm still on beginner teqniques. Using the consistency chart has helped, but I always feel my paint is to thick and keep wondering if the chart printed to the right size. I'll keep going, and will be tryiing this flip (AGAIN) and try the ribbon which I have not done. I have'nt been using proessional pouring med,, only glue, which I will stop stoday and see if it makes a difference. I have a med. from where I live, not sure what it is and I didn't see any great happenings with it, but I don't think i mixed it with floetrol. Ordering some kind of pouring med. today from Amazon (checking your store first, but most don't ship here) and buying something. I am going to start doing to the letter what you say where I can (supplies are not always avail. here) Sorry for the rant. Needed to destress from this "fun" hobby. Take some time out for yourself, Tammy. You seem to be doing a lot on your own. I'm hoping you have help with some of this. Sure wish I was closer.🤗🤗🤗
