Those Eheim heaters are the GOAT....I have one running on my daughters freshwater tank now that is about 15 years old, and ran a saltwater tank for about a decade...still rock solid...

Ehiem makes the best heaters for freshwater, idk about salt though.

When I broke mine, I was opening a brand new one and opened the box up side down. It fell 4 feet onto solid concrete, round side down... It never saw water. However, the other two I've used worked great!

I thought most heaters break do to failure of the sensor then overheat... and crack...?

I love this. For whatever reason I’ve always trusted eheim jager glass heaters over something metal. Pyrex is strong. I’ve never had a Pyrex baking dish break after years and years of abuse. Guess that’s where my faith and trust come from! Great video, excited to see the next!

For 20 years almost I have used a Jager true temps all glass with a three-year warranty most of them and lasted quite a bit above and beyond three years I’ll swap them out every 12 months just because they’re Inexpensive I have never had a crack or a break they are always extremely accurate

I had one break once when I got cold water on it. I can’t say it was necessarily a high quality heater though. I got it at a used equipment sale.

Moral of the story don't use cheap glass heaters. Good glass is expensive.

Totally don’t understand the point lol n this video? It’s never been a thing of stuff dropped on it to make it fail ? It’s long term use fails and what affects it has the on tank after being exposed in the water !
