I’m constantly adjusting settings based on what I’m skating so it will be cool to have the option to break my board. I think the animation is cool then you can just keep breaking the blank decks for fun.

Unfortunately, Creature hiring a decent amount of new devs seems like it is not going to happen anytime soon. I asked specifically about that to them in Insta and they said that finding the "right people takes time." And sure, that may be true, but on their website under their hirings, they aren't even hiring for animations, map design, or the other things a majority of the player base is actually asking for. They said that money/funding is not the issue, however I (from an outside perspective) disagree. Finding the right people isn't really the issue, but they're not actively making strides to get good people on the team. Not expanding their studio personnel is a major issue that they refuse to acknowledge. It also is a HUGE issue that this game is a "1.0" state with fucking experimental features not only still in the game, but they're STILL ADDING MORE EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES. This game is a very niche game, so having a vast consistently growing player base probably isn't going to happen.

Big drop does work, you need to position your feet over the bolts as you land by pushing your left stick up a bit and the right one down

I know how it works and that it can work.. what I mean is, it has a glitch where you will continuously fall if you try to get back on your board after respawning. Also since Big drop landing input and Powerslide / Liptrick setup are the exact same, you will occasionally get a weird slip when you go to land a big drop. Ever since it was added a long time ago, it had never been without annoying issues, so I just leave it off

It's so weird that the catch sounds are louder with auto catch. I guess they expect people to hear their stick movement as the catch sound with manual catch? Or maybe it's just a bug lol. Would have preferred literally nothing over the Liquid Death costume, but that's just me. Someone will like it, and that's cool. When you break your board, does it replace it with a deck of similar width, or does it just replace it with an 8? Also, not that it happens often, but it'd be cool if they added truck cracking/breaking as they continue to work on board breaking. Also Pizza

I can't get my tricks to look as good as yours i.e. your kickflips/frontside flips. Your front foot flicks and extends like a ninja, and stays extended while your back foot catches it (see 4:10 mark in video). My character flicks really weak, then sort of lifts both feet straight up in the air at the same time before bring the backfoot down to catch it. It just looks weird and lame. Any idea why mine look different? I have manual catch and manual board control on, tried turning on physical animation, increased flip speed...nothing working.

I don’t actually do any of what you said hahaha I can still make my Fs flips look the way they do on default advanced settings. What I do is pretty basic but gives a great result: flick, let go of stick inputs, hold trigger till I’m 90 degrees, catch, then push trigger again to finish the rotation before hitting the ground

Oh I know how it works and that it can work.. the issue is a bug that causes you to keep falling when you try to get back on your board… also having it activate Powerslide when you land sometimes

@@JLNightmare The caveman bug is fixed, right? 50 50 or actually powerslide inputs prevent the right animation to trigger. It does the powerslide animation (slightly bending the knee). If they reversed the input like when catching with both feet, it would be easier to understand and won't conflict with powerslide/lip, and possibly trigger the right animation. And, making it true stance with catching both feet would be easier to apply. Pizza? don't tell me next brand is going to be Pizza!!!! 🍕🍕🍕

Quick question, when you break a board and you said it is gone, what does that mean? Can you literally run out of a specific board (because you can only buy it ie. 5 times) or does it remain available in your apartment etc.? Or am i understanding the number counter in the shop wrong and it doesn't represent the number of boards the shop has but how many boards you can have at one time in the apartment? The counter is your inventory- you can only have 5 of the same thing at once. I sell my old boards to clear up inventory so I can add more.

Have you updated all your drivers? (GPU and Cpu drivers) Do you have any mods installed? Someone posted this in discord, maybe it will help you for this issue too. “I think they enabled dx12 and some gpus can't handle it. If on steam right click on your game and go to properties and general. On the right you will have the LAUNCH OPTIONS. Write exactly: "-d3d11" into that and run your game”

It didn’t disappear, it’s just not listed In Map Select cause it’s back to being a “hidden” park. Go to Brooklyn Banks Station, run over to the 10 set and directly across from it you’ll see an opening in the wall. Go to the door there. You can also run across from the 13 set at the banks too and there is an entrance there too

There’s no option to reset world objects for some strange reason… I’ll mention it to the devs again cause it really should be an option. There is a way to fully reset every single object in the game if you’re on PC or PS4.. requires you to delete a specific save file.. so if you are on either of those platforms and want to fully reset every world object, let me know

i still use manny catch. but i will say. i notice Auto catches animations for catching and flips look cleaner than manual catch.. to me at least.. but manual catch is way more fun. and aaahhhhh the replacement blanks CAN break.. for some reason, the blanks have yet to break for me... at all.. ever.. lol. so obv we see height will break the board easy or asap. buut i read if you just normal skating. breaking is determined on how worn the board is. height of drops (still but it will decrease the more worn the board the smaller the drop you can do b4 it breaks. also landing position. and im so glad they made it that way and not random like the mod was and the board would break after like every trick just cause lol oh.. and PIZZA! lol 🍕🍕

Jw you seemed fairly educated on the game my dude is it just my game or did they really remove the mode you so can play it like the skate games? ik im lame for playing it that way but its what im used to lol

it was a feature added in by the devs during early access But it was never controls they wanted to have in the game since it has a lot of limitations for what they want the player to do. So Legacy controls were removed and won’t be back. They did give people the option to use Front foot back foot input and have Left stick turning with those inputs so it’s easier for Skate players to learn the game

They said that Freeskate Lobby type multiplayer isn’t possible with their physics.. so it’s off the table. They are going to look into different ways to have online much later on but for now, freeskate multiplayer isn’t happening

So what makes the big drop input broken?

Causes a glitch where you will continuously fall when trying to get back on your board, even after respawning. Sometimes the inputs read as a “Powerslide setup” input since back foot stick down front foot stick up is also how you activate Powerslide / Liptricks. Honestly they should reverse the input to be back foot Up front foot down cause at least then it will match the catch inputs. But yeah, just not worth dealing with the bugs. it hasn’t been a finished feature since it’s release and I dunno why they didn’t put it in experimental (same with a bunch of other settings

So that’s what’s been going wrong for me, I swear kept putting the game down because I encountered that problem but it never occurred to me that it would be the big drop setting that was causing it! Thanks for the heads up imma bout to turn that off so I can play again ahah. Yeah for sure should still be in experimental features if that’s what’s breaking the game so much. Thanks for the reply man it’s saved me so much trial and error
