The spool tension per shimano is to be set to just minimize the side to side play, otherwise the dc brake system won't work as it's designed to!

I got mine last year through Amazon. Only had to wait 2 weeks for delivery. Was thinking of using it in saltwater, but it's not made for it, so I'm waiting till next weekend to fish for some yellow perch at my local lake. Can't wait to try it out!

I just bought the curado DC and the wind mode sucks as far as distance goes. if I can find my receipt I am gonna return it and more than likely get scorpion dc.

That I am unsure of. The smallest weight I've thrown is 1/10 oz.

Anyone with the scorpion able to tell me if they have play in the handle between body and the handle? Got mine and the play seems a bit excessive .

​@@Chris-fh8uh the IDC5 system will take care of braking as long as you have it set to the correct lure weight. What I am saying is you can adjust the spool tension to reach different ranges of casting abilities. It makes casting lightweight lures easier with heavier line or light line that you normally would not put on the reel.
