There is a 2021 Yamaha FX SVHO 3 seater hull doing almost 90 mph with the stock oem supercharged wheel. The guy name is Rob “chancleta” I follow his youtube channel. In fact JP did some mods in this particular ski but also has some aftermarket racing parts from Riva.

The design of the hulls of the Yamahas GP 2 seaters and FX SVHO 3 seaters are faster than the Sea Doos for two main reasons, number one because they comes with a bigger 4 cylinder engines and number two because their hulls runs with less drag in the water than the Sea Doos. But the 3 weak points of the Yamahas are the following, 1) from a dead stop they experiment some cavitation 2) their superchargers oem clutch desing. If you run yours in open seas rough waters be prepare to experiment clutch failures quite frequently. 3) Also some have had issues with their cylinders heads cracking because some poor casting flaws from the factory. I used to wrench on them in the past but for some reason almost nobody talks about this issues in the watercraft forums…🤷‍♂️🤔🙄. There is a company that designed a aftermarket heavy duty racing clutch assembly for the Yamahas skis that solve this issue that is very popular in the racing community, but because it’s very expensive is out of reach for the average consumer.

Que tiene de diferente el Gtx del rxp los dos son stage 2, el gtx también está girando pa 8900 rpm también, el gtx quedó buenísimo

Lo que cambian es básicamente el tamaño de su casco solamente, el rxp es de 2 personas y el gtx está diseñado para 3. Sin embargo por lo general al casco más grande de 3 personas se le saca más velocidad que al más pequeño ya que aparentemente su diseño hace que su casco corra con menos fricción sobre el agua por eso aparentemente desarrolla más velocidad 😉.
