Go with wood. You can always bring in a pattern area rug in both areas. You can always change out the area rug for something different to change the look for the seasons or what's tending.

Wood. Carpet is just a huge catch-all for dust. Area rugs atop wood are easily changed out, and cleaned.

Always go with wood and can place an accent area rug. I hate wall to wall carpet...dirt, dust, allergies, etc... Great job as always, love your channel and work! tfs 🤗 ~ Helen

Thanks Helen for your sound advice. This is the last area in my home that has carpet and I am going to miss having something soft underfoot to walk on. However, I know that wood flooring is going to be my best option for its timelessness and beauty.

I prefer carpet also but, wood with area rugs might be nice. You could always change out the area rug as you change your color theme.

I would go with wood. You could always add an accent rug in a pattern you love. Rugs are easily replaceable if you ever decide to redecorate in the future.

Another great video. I have always wondered how to pronounce the name of those jars😁. My favorite one is the bird stand but I like the other ones too. I think you should go with wood. Carpet is outdated. Can’t wait to see your new floor.

About your dilemma.......the particular carpet you showed is beautiful , neutral, trendy and you seem to lean toward carpet. Are you the type to get tired of a pattern ? The wood sounds timeless, but I’m not sure that you really want it ?? It’s almost like I’m saying what I think you’re feeling

Thanks for your feedback. I love how carpet feels underfoot, however, wood flooring is timeless. I am going to move forward with the wood flooring and add a gorgeous rug. Once the carpet is removed, my home will not have any plush areas to walk on and that can be hard on the back. Thanks once agin for watching and commenting!
