I just sold my 2020 scout fully loaded version last week after 243.000km of first hand use. Follow the regular factory maintenance, it just runs bulletproof… ordering my second one this week… always 193cv diesel one…

I am thinking about buying the new Skoda Kodiaq and I do not know what to do, if going for the 2.0 TSI petrol engine (204 hp and 4x4) or the 2.0 TDI 193 hp 4x4 diesel.

My 2020 diesel model had already the adblue. I never had any problems with it. The question of whether to prefer diesel or petrol engine is very much dependent on your user profile. Do you do short distances often? Are you a more city or an autobahn driver? Do you usually run less or more than 15/20.000 km per year? If the answers tend to be on the shorter side, maybe the petrol might be a wiser option. However if you tend to drive longer distances, on highway with more than 20k km per year, for a 4x4 suv, my modest opinion is to go for 2.0 tdi engine of the vw group. It has an immense track record, used on multiple platforms on numerous models and in my personal experience never had even a slight issue with it… so I ordered once more another diesel one for my family use… I hope this helps. I am autobahn driver mainly (in Spain) due to my work, and although I like the feeling of a petrol car, I guess a TDI engine is a wiser option. I would go for the Superb, but my wife does not like sedan/wagon, she prefers a SUV.. Thank you very much.
