i had sniper like that yesterday and it sucks so bad... he bought rapier and then locked in base for an hour in fear of losing the rapier, so you choose either lose 4v5's or hold base for an hour hoping other team throws.

Which 2000g item does that? Also, linkens only works for 1 spell which teammates can trigger it earlier and has higher cooldown than Sniper ulti. Not enough to beat it.

@@vijayendranvijay457 euls cheap way to avoid ult. Linkens would block it. Blade mail and lotus would make sure sniper suffers too. Ghost sceptre avoids phys damage. Hell, you could avoid sniper ult/disjoint it for 25 gold (using smoke of deceit). Manta, aeon disk, there are a thousand ways to stop this. Of course, when you look at a game where sniper was allowed to get 5 rapiers you understand immediately that it's trash herald smurf youtuber gameplay, so brain power does not exist in quantities sufficient to figure out obvious ways to stop dying to sniper. Even buying just a blink dagger would give a way to avoid sniper ult but also engage on him.

This isn't as good as people here might think it is. 😅 1) Takes wayyyy too much time to get all these items. 2) You die once, it's almost a complete throw. 3) Easily countered with Smokes, Euls, Linken, Blink, Antimage Counterspell, Aeon Disk, Ghost scepter etc. 4) Team has to play 4v5 since the sniper can't leave base safely with Pick-off enemies like Slark, Spectre NP, Arc Warden, Lina, Nyx, Zeus etc. 5) You're team will feel compelled to protect you all the time + protect the rapiers from going in enemy hands, causing them to make unfavourable maneuvers and likely lose the game. Conclusion: You're like a pudge hiding in trees and waiting for a good hook, then misses. You're like the old techies who puts 20 green mines in one spot for 5 minutes but the enemy just walks around it. This build is a grief.

No it wouldn't. With this build he deals about 2000 physical and 4725 magical (6425 tot). With your build he'd deal 7220 magical. It is potentially stronger, depending on the target, but not by much.

@@michaelchandra1243 true, but I have a counter argument: It's all about the team strategy Yes a sniper can do more dmg but he also has to be involved in the fight, even if is from distance. If he gets flanked or, god forbid, someone buys a "very expensive" Blade mail and activates it when they hear the Assassination sound... Bye, bye, Rapiers! He is a glass cannon. Now imagine you have a Bara mid with an Alchemist safe lane and 3 heroes with amplify spell damage as supports and off lane. Examples: Pugna, Sky mage, Anc App, Viper with lvl 10 talent or Hoodwink with shard for supports (any combination of two will do) and as pos 3: Elder Titan or (my fav) Bounty hunter for team cash influx+save (shard +lvl15), but other classic pos 3 heroes wold do fine as well. Early game goes as usual, bara goes bottle, phase boots, and rushes the khanda while using charge to gank other lanes. Alch goes for radiance after a couple of bracers (maybe a blade mail if he's having a bad game) and then farms an aghs for bara. After which he goes full tank mode: shiva (required for -mag res), heart, str blink ,anything that makes him unkillable. When Bara has Khanda, lvl 15, and the first Rapier (arounf 20 min give or take) he parkes himself next to the fountain and the hunt begins. Alch goes for safe farm while Pos 3 with two supports and a veil just go around the map and search for victims (BH is perfect for this with invis and track) takes them down to 1k health and bara charges them. Rinse and repeat! when Alch gets a shiva and heart he can join the 4 man squad as a front man (veil and shiva stack up). My favourite team is: Alch, Bara, BH, Sky mage and Pugna. Bara lev 15 with only khanda, phase boots and 1 rapier, BH lvl12 with shiva, SkyMage 10 with a veil and pugna 10 (even if you had a slow start) can ditch over 3k damage on a single target in less than 5 sec, enough to kill any farming core with bkb on cd. And they can do it every 10 sec or so (only Mystic Flare has a higher cd, but you won't need it for enemy supports). From this point Bara just stacks rapiers. Even with a slow start this will give you a massive potential for comeback. And the best part is that the hero with all the net worth, kill spree bounty, and rapiers is out of reach for the enemy. The only thing is not to charge someone with blade mail active (it might not kill you and you'll regen back fast, but is a mostly unnecessary risk. Still you won't lose the rapiers even if you die in the base). Now go enjoy free mmr before icefrog patches this abomination. edit: my friends and I tested it at 40 min mark with bara (5 rapieres) and BH 25+ and supports 20+ and goes easily north of 8k dmg for single target, even without mystic flare. In our games there was not a single instance for a enemy to survive past min 30 (bkb, force staffs, glimmers capes and all. It's just way too much damage). Also forgot to mention that both supports (and even the off lane sometimes) go for E-blade (cast range, magic amp, the full course). edit2: Small mistake, veil and shivas don't stack, but you still should go for multiple shivas (2-3) so you can refresh the debuff.
