Bigger trucks don't make the world safe. Why would that thing be 3x as long as my house. And don't try and say because of heights. Even in Tokio they can think of a good truck design and keep it compact. Just a waste of resources and make it impossible to improve safer road infrastructure.

A TDA has a rear driver because it's easier to maneuver than a Mid mount tower or rear mount tower, It's pretty much a semi, but the back tires steer too, making it easier to navigate tight roads, and sharp corners

@@SeattleResponses my problem with this one is that it is being called out to your regular incident. Which only needs some technical work. You can use a VW transporter or Vito for example. Calling out a ladder like this realistically is only needed for a parking garage rescue or something. Even the idea of using a literal ladder is an old habit. instead you can use an Aerial work platform vehicle. Makes you way more maneuverable.

@@MrSam_Derp_Man What... in my city, ladders are used for all kinds of technical rescue. Elevator rescue, extrication rescue, trench rescue, rope rescue, and that's mainly because my city only has one rescue company and doesn't have the funds or staffing for another rescue company. Having ladder companies to specialize in rescue operations is cheaper and better for the department.
