I'm curious why Chief Librarian Vel'cona, he doesn't seem to have much lore? I'd like to see Harath Shen (Master Apothecary), Chaplain Elysius (who bears Vulkan's Sigil), or Techmarine Argos (Master of the Forge). And as far as unique datasheets, maybe Elysius could be 'chaplain in gravis armor' and Argos could be 'techmarine in gravis armor'.

For the Raven Guard - it was always said that Kayvaan Shrike took the mantle of the Chapter Master "until a fitting replacement will be found" Now, he has reinstated all the RG specialist type squads from HH era (Mor Deythan and Shadow Killers I believe were their names - you can find them on forge world), and it's pretty much confirmed that Nykona Sharrowkin was in stasis alongside the gene-tech basis for primaris when Cawl got it from Guilliman. Knowing that Emperor's children and Fulgrim are getting a full refresh, and Sharrowkin's storied history with both Fulgrim and Lucius, it would make sense for him to return, possibly alongside new upgrade sprue allowing you to kit out primaris RG jump troops with raven Guard specific jetpacks like the one Shrike uses, needler snipers and lightning claws galore. As for Imperial Fists, I cannot agree more that GW needs to close the damn revolving door of Chapter Masters...

40k scale Dark Fury squads with the raven winged jump-packs lead by motherfreakin' Sharrowkyn himself would be sick as hell. I can see Shrike wanting to elevate a hero like Sharrowkyn to chapter master, especially since he doesn't see himself as worthy, but Sharrowkyn likely refusing as well. The RG shadow captains already operate with a lot of autonomy, Shrike might just dissolve the chapter master office for the RG.

It might fit as well - and something that GW could translate into the game - that Sharrowkyn refuses to become Chapter Master and tells Kayvaan that he is in the place Corax would want him. That when it is time for him to step aside, it will be for their gene-father. Rather, Sharrowkyn says he has another purpose Corax gave him long ago. He will re-establish the Shadow Wardens unit and lead them. To restablish the Wardens, they would need to restore Mor Deythan and Dark Fury squads and official art depicts Sharrowkyn as both. AND - rebuilding Corax's honor guard would be a step in bringing Corax back from the warp. Would make a VERY good kill team type of thing with use as well in full armies as a 10-model unit with Sharrowkyn as heroic character leader.

As a Dark Angels player myself , I think all the Codex following chapters (Iron Hands , Imperial Fists .... ) should atleast have 4 Epic Heroes each . So that those players can field different characters as well and people who love those chapters finally can fine tune their armies for tournaments as well (for those who want to play tournies that is) . That would probably see more different SM armies on the table there than just the DIvergent ones and the Smurfs . :D

I want to see chapter specific veteran squads. Just sets of five marines with unique sculpts that have armour upgrades, weapons and details that reflect the personality of their chapter (not just accessory sprues). So, Ravenguard with beaky helms, claws, jump packs, or cloaks, Salamanders with flamers and bits of lizard hide, Imperial Fists with bolters, powerfists or shields, and some unique reinforced armour with a crenelation theme, Etc. Instead of just a one-off character, minis that can be played as just regular marines but with more flavour. Or mix and match the parts to add spice to your generic marines. Also, they need to make unique Terminator squads for each chapter, not just Space Wolves, Blood Angels, and Dark Angels, but all of the main chapters. Like they did at ForgeWorld. They don't need special rules, just some cool unique models.

As a Raven Guard player, I would say I want not a character, but a unit. Something like the Mor Dethyan or Dark Furies from Horus Heresy. You know, some special units that are specifically Raven Guard and not just Ultramarines painted black. If I had to pick a character, I would automatically wish for our Primarch to come back, obviously. Barring that, I would want a special Librarian, since the psychic phase is now gone and tied to characters, and I really loved the Umbramancy discipline back in 8th and 9th even if I couldn't make them work on the table. Or a chaplain on jump pack. The old finecast one I have is really showing its age.

Raven Guard arent hurting for anything specific. Id ask for phobos characters, but we have generic phobos characters that are fine. But theres a fun bit about Kayvaan: he has the phobos keyword AND attaches to jump intercessors, giving them the keyword as well. That means the phobos-only stratagems can be used on them. So maybe a character like that would be neat. Something i can attach to hellblasters or sternguard that brings the keyword would be cool. Alternatively a Inceptor or Suppressor characrer might be interesting. Besides that i think we're doing okay. As long as its a new unique character that isnt unplayable on the table, ill be happy.

I don't see them making too many specific chapter masters, we only have 7, and the 7th one was when they released the new Kayvaan Shrike who was promoted from the 3rd company Captain. The other 5 have been around since at least 4th I think, with Marnius Calgar being one of the oldest, Dante, Azreal, Logan Grimnar, High Marshal Halbrecht and the last being Pedro Kantor. I think GW likes the latitude that it gives you to put your own spin on your chapter master model and feel less beholden to the released models. Edit: I did forget that Gabriel Seth had a model that he just lost. Also not counting the Forge World releases.

The Iron Hands have the Gorgon Terminator suit. they also had a special tendency to mix a lieutenant in terminator armor into normal units. we also have Iron farthers instead of normal Captains, they are a mix of Captains and Techmarines. so it could be a generic Iron Farther in a Terminator armor or just a techmarine in terminator armor. i got one of the old FW Iron farther models and he is basically a Techmarine in Terminator armor. ps. it where lies about the iron hands :D the iron hands are much better then the sons of Dorn :D

You may not know much about them on tabletop but every single SW unit used to be able to take a special leader like that since the get go. They are the original force that could do it and have always had the broadest access to it army-wide.. Iron hands taking them is inspired by SW. It's not just Terminators for SW either, it's power armoured leaders, Jump Pack leaders, on-Bike leaders. Sorry to give you a boring, old-man history lesson but if SW don't get it the chance of Iron Hands getting it is precisely 0.

@@NecroGoblin-yl2fx Ah brother it's been lore even longer. SW don't have a first company, they have Wolf Guard. Each company has its own cadre of ultra elites that fill a number of roles. They lead everything from individual squads all the way up to armies or form units of their own.....It's one of the core bits of SW lore and has been since the end of Rogue Trader. They are the originators of the thing and you may not know but of ALL space marine armies they had the first proper lore and codex written way back when, long before any Iron Hands lore or rules had even been roughed out. Not taking anything away from the Iron Hands I love them. I've collected them both in HH and 40K over the years but the thing they have is inspired by SW.

3:30 40K players are divided on a lot of things, but from the everyday, in the hobby store players that I've talked to recently, it seems most are actually agreeing on one thing: Corvus should be the next Primarch to return. The Lion and Guilliman returning were cool, but the read I'm getting is that players want to see the Imperium get their own big, bad anti-hero character instead of another heroic archetype. I don't think this sentiment has been lost on GW and I could see their new model being a herald of sorts for Corvus' return.

Tbh, I think all "plain" first foundings (loyalists and traitors) need a unique character AND a unique unit. I think GW was testing the waters with the Nemesis Claw. That has been a resounding success, winning the best 40k mini for the year, so hopefully, they take that knowledge and run with it.

I would love something for Raven Guard! I've begun painting Raptors, so my dream would be their chapter master, Lias Issodon, but I also wouldn't mind a named captain of the RG that I can convert into my own, original Raptors captain. I might do that with Kayvaan Shrike and ignore the "chapter master" keyword, or I might paint Kayvaan in black and say he's swooping in to help out.

My best guess for the starter set of 11th edition. They do new models that we have not seen in the primaris sculpt. So some ground mainline infantry. I think Orks will have shooting models and maybe some fast Vehicles or monsters. Space marines would be close quarters focused. I think the Space marine Captain would be Cato Sicarius or inspired of him because otherwise that would limit options for painting if you have an ultramarine captain. Some thoughts I have.

Lysander is gone from USA online store, and I don't see Vulcan either, so both easily possible. For chapter masters, there's a few missing and it'd be cool to see more chapter masters instead of 3rd company captains, but who knows with GW.

@savapetkov1315 I have never seen any art of Stronos in terminator armour. Verrox was included in the newish First Founding book in terminator armour so seems more likely in my opinion.

Ravenguard: CL Taalis Shraek, Chap Cordae, they should also be able to be more mobile with their assault marines who should count as battlwine troops. And they should get a vet squad of assault marines with claws. I also think they should get an vanguard aquad and snipers geared towards them. I may be biased

A Terminator for the IH opens up many possibilities, unfortunately a terminator means it can't be Kardan Stronos (aka the "Chapter Master"). Iron Father Agaar Verrox is a possibility... But I would also like to see a "Hellfather" finally brought into model form. The one thing I want to see the most is a new upgrade kit that includes special IH specific terminator bits

I'd assumed that after Space Wolves this edition, we'd get major characters in 11th ed for all of the major chapters and even successor chapters like the Crimson Fist, and then grow their ranges from then on. I'm still assuming there will be one new major chapter refresh for the next edition too

3:55 the truth is the flesh is weak... Terminator model could be Stronos, Verrox, Rauth, or a Hellfather I would think. I would love Iron Father Kardan Stronos to finally get a model with the ability to throw discounted Stratagems onto vehicles in the way Guilliman can.

Gw should show more love to the successors. Yes. I know. We got raptor transfers recently, but what about other chapters like say? White templars? They had a whole thing with the custodes, the norn emmisary, and leontis. They should come out with a huge variety of transfer sheets. Just my opinion.

We really do need GW to do more black library models, rather than once a year at Black Library week. Talos NL model would be great, main characters from the Salamander series, The main character from the Talon of Horus series, and his warband. Adds a bit more personality to chapters and armies on the tapletop. Guess we wait 3 to 4 years for the new factory and warehouse to be built and fully operational perhaps.

Raven Guard new Chapter Master Nykona Sharrowkyn figure. Would also like to see a unique Librarian for the Raven Guard. I'm also assuming Corvus Corax will be returning; I'd love to see a figure of Corvus half human / half turning into a crow of darkness. Jet Bikes for the white scars sounds awsome.
