such an unnecessary "upgrade" lol, labs was fine the way it was. fuck, it was the best free vst next to vital and the kontakt player. then they went and removed / pay-walled most of the sounds, made the ui a whole lot uglier too, basically ruining it entirely haha. thanks spitfire.

@@sfmza the offline mode is working 100% completely fine. just go into offline mode and you still have all your sounds

The main problem for me is I always need to log in everytime I open the plugin 😢 Unlike the Old Labs when I can easily work offline 😕

This may just be a rumor but I heard that they are working on allowing offline use. Don't quote me on it though 😅

Yeah, it's wierd to have an offline mode that allows you to have 30 days before you have to log back in....but if you have no internet, the app won't open.

@@sfmza I just tried it. within the last minute. Put it in offline mode, which they say will give you 30 days of access to your sounds. The app was still open. Worked fine. I then logged out. When I tried to log back in, the message I got was that I had no internet access. Doesn't make sense to me.

@@Clasam09 the offline mode doest really work, and what's irritating is that all the sounds are downloaded locally but you must be connected to the internet to use them 🙄

Thanks for helping out with the troubleshooting! Just an overall very bad decision from them. The old UI was tasteful and classy. Whoever advised them on this should be made to read every groaning comment on every channel.

Latest LABS requires you to be connected to the Internet to use it. No good if you are using a laptop out and about with no WiFi?

Yeah, I can't use it when not connected to the internet and I don't believe the sounds are stored locally, if they are they are locked until you're online again

@@sfmza wanted to download the new version and never wanted any bugging...but seems the problem hasn't been solved actually, cause I downloaded the new LABS and when I get a new library in the SOFTWARE I end up using it in the old LABS vst instead of the new vst one

@@dope.ciouse sounds like you need to remove the old instance from the FL plugin library which can be found in the image line root folder, once that's clear, scan the plugins again

it's not even showing up in my plugins after I scan it. set all the directories I physically could and fl studio just refuses to recognize that labs exists. this sucks

It's a bit complicated but if you installed the vst/vst2 version you can copy the dll file from the original folder into your steinberg vst folder and then you need to add the folder to your mpc beats plugin folders and scan. In text it's so confusing, I'll work on a video for this question 😅

I downloaded the new version successfully but if i try to download any packs (Vintage Piano) it says it's downloaded, only for it to not show up when i go to the pack selector.

Do you still have the old instance of LABS on your PC? Maybe clear the cache in the New LABS and then repair the sound library directory in the settings

Go to settings and search remove programs, it'll bring up a list of all the installed software on your pc, look for LABS, and if there are 2 versions of LABS you can delete the oldest one by using the date. I hope that helps 🙏

@@KBizzy you're lucky, I no longer have access to the old versions of Spitfire. I'd have not downloaded this one had I known. They do have an offline mode on the new one though, I just haven't tested it out yet

Yes that's correct, but someone in the comments had contacted them and he was told they are working on the update to allow for offline work. Not sure how true it is but I hope it happens

I cant access any of the packs I had on the old labs. On the new app it says "failed to load preset config" for all of the packs I previously had. All these presets are still on my PC in my VST folder but they just won't load into the new labs plug-in. Any idea how to fix this?

Have you tried uninstalling the old version? I found that the first version stuck around and caused problems, but removing it helped me a lot

i have just removed the lab plugins to a new ssd, although i have reset the download location and redownload all the labs, its still said missing session, how to solve this ? or how can i repair the labs plugins? i still cant find a button like 'repair' like the old lab systems

@@sfmza idk what just happened, I’m using Mac M2 with SanDisk g40 pro SSD working with logic. If I open LAB software itself and download those plugins , the Lab not really relocating my file, even I changed my download location to SSD , or re-download those plugins,the LAB still not getting it. But when I open logic and redownload it (by opening LAB within logic) , it randomly works .

Brother I have a new problem, how do I find out what's the specific instrument I used from the old labs? If you open it, it's just gonna show an error message, it will not indicate what was the name of the instrument it used to have. Do you know how to work on this?

Removing all instances of LABS on the pc and installing just the new version has helped me, my projects are now reading the new LABS as the old one so my projects aren't broken

@@sfmza i cant do that, thats too much space, not to mention that theres no “delete/remove” button on the new version, spitfire support is not helpful as well, they are either not available, or will just ask you to do basic troubleshooting (uninstall old, resintall new, clear cache, repair). I’m techy and austistic enough to do that myself 😂. Wish I get the help I need
