I missed out on the Hot Tryst palette during the holidays-there’s just only so much makeup you can buy for yourself when you have to buy Christmas presents for everyone else and still pay your bills-so I’m kind of interested in this palette since I have an affinity for face palettes but lord knows I don’t need it!

The palettes aren’t dupes, but when you sheer blush out on the cheeks, the nuance of blush shades are often lost. All these Nars palettes look so similar. I have one of the Wanted palettes from last spring and I’m set 😂

I like this one alot better than the other one they came out with during the holiday. I didn't get that one because I just didn't like how bright the colors were for blushes. The new exposed one is more my style. I think I will pick it up, great video and thanks for the comparison swatches, it helped so very much in deciding whether or not to purchase it and I definitely think I'm going to pick it up tomorrow when it drops.

Thanks for watching! 💖 I hear ya on that but I do it this way purposefully... you have to save the best for last for a few reasons 1) if the swatches are right at the beginning my watch time will be terrible and videos with low watch times are not promoted thanks to the KZbin algorithm 2) if I don't put the information first then people will watch a fraction of the video and then ask a bunch of questions that they could've gotten the answers to in the video 3) I only have so many hours in the day to film and edit as I also am a mom to a 4 year old, full time commercial photographer and sometimes human being 😂 Doing individual blush demos just isn't in the cards for me.

I totally agree with your review. To me these are the same formula as the dual intensity blushes Nars came out with a long time ago and a lot of people didn’t love that formula either. I did and purchased all of them. I just purchased this palette because I love the fact that you can build them up and I agree great value for what you get!

I realize you prerecorded this, and I only got my NARS email today. Available directly from NARS already. $59 as you suspected. I think there is a huge problem in your highlighter calculation. The screen says 13.9g in pan, but your mouth said 3.9. The $/g you showed was calculated using 13.9, but I don't think that's right. The $/g using 3.9g pan size means highlighters go for $9.74/gram. Thus, 3 grams would be $29.23, further increasing the value of the palette. Value: yes; desirability of the colors (for me): no.

@@MakeupJustForFun And that is so correct, as a knitter, I should have realized. Yarn is ultimately packaged and priced by weight, and I know 100g is ~3.75 oz. I think it just hit me how much smaller the blush pans must be than I realized. I bought Orgasm in 2009 (don't remember what I paid), but it had to have been closer to the .49 oz 13.9g size than what they have now. I didn't like how glittery and sparkly it was and never wore it, so I threw it out last year (it was only 9 years old!).
