let me add my two cents for the $2k I have now spent on this gun. first 150 rounds = 7 failure to battery. the 153 that went bang sure was pleasant. (my math right?) last 100 all went bang no issues after cleaning lubing. the slide is like butter until you hit the pot hole (safety disconnecter) which is a real issue. sent mine to skips guns to replace all the internals (ignition kit) along with an atlas trigger and thumb safety. he is also pinning the grip safety. might as well since I still don't have the RMR plate like Colon has in his video. apparently SA is not shipping the plates for REAL dots until another "30+ days" as of 10/22/22, according to SA support. in the interim the cover plate which hosts the rear sight comes lose after 20 rounds because their QA team forgot to loctite it. not a big deal but why loctite it when I was expecting my plate. no plate no gun no fun.....

I haven't seen any vids of anyone taking a prodigy apart. I couldn't even remove the guide rod from my first 1911 until I put more than 300rds thru it

Dope Review. Just subbed. I'm a Staccato owner and I want both Prodigy models.

@@Tx.tote3m The Staccato P is my EDC. I had recently put an XL in layaway. After seeing Colion Noir's review of the Prodigy. The next day I went to the FFL and they had them in stock. I switched out the XL for the 5" Prodigy.

Just now seeing your channel and I am subscribed. I will support anyone who supports the 2A. This is the only time I will get 2912 style weapon only because high capacity otherwise I would never even touch a 1911 style firearm

I've been seeing various reports of malfunctions and failures since the release. Saw one malfunction in a Colion Noir video. Also read several reports about overall quality of the material used to build this pistol. Slide to frame fit isn't as tight as your higher end options. Trigger has often been reported at 5lbs. Can you address any of these concerns that are being reported?
@Tx.tote3m2 жыл бұрын
The fit and finish is pretty good. Can’t compare it to a staccato or nighthawk or anything like that. Trigger is about 5lbs, but is a metal trigger. I’ve been lucky to have no malfunctions yet. I only got about 500 rounds through it though so only time will tell. I have seen tons of malfunctions. Kinda makes me basically wait to see when mine does. But it’s been good so far. It’s an awesome shooter.

With all the reported malfunctions & heavy trigger pull there’s no way it’s a “staccato killer.” Not a fair comparison anyway as the staccato is a thousand more for a reason. That being said I’d love to try one of these out to assess the hype for myself. Nice video.
@Tx.tote3m2 жыл бұрын
Def not a staccato killer… but great click bait. 😂. Honestly mine has run good. No issues for me. Maybe I’m one of the lucky ones. It’s a great running gun and I really like it. Hopefully ppl get theirs running or try one that works to see how well it shoots, but the worry of getting one that works is tough.
