Suntour forks are actually what got me to watch your channel initially, only to learn that we are somewhat in the same area (I am in Southwestern Qc), so getting ideas on where to ride as well from your channel. I have been enjoying my Aion forks for a while now.

If you slide the fork the other way in your cutting guide and line up the mark with the outside edge, your cut would be right. The slot for the hacksaw would be the thickness of that outer plate from your mark. Plus sharpen your pencil to a finer point to get closer to the spacer

New subscriber here! Love your contents! Are you from Canada? Changed my santa cruz hightower fork and shocks to suntour triair and durolux! Super flushed and loved the adjustability and maintenance of the product. I know, i know suntour in a santa cruz is odd but hey, its my bike and i do whatever i want! Regards from Oakville, Ontario.

Thanks man! yeah SR Suntour gets kind of a bad rep based on their lower end forks, but their higher end stuff is great, and they are an amazing company to deal with.

Im very interested in lowering suntour durolux 36 to 100 or 120 mm travel like Tom Isted is runnin on his slopestyle bike but i cant find the air spring smaller than 150 mm my question is can i physically find an air spring for suntour lower than 150 ?

How to adjust travel on sr suntor EQ model?
@ToogyHowser2 жыл бұрын
unfortunately the EQ version is not as easy to adjust, you need a new airshaft.
@simplyaverage60253 жыл бұрын
Hi, on the new durolux you have to change the air shaft to adjuste the travel, or is there a spacer sytem?
@ToogyHowser3 жыл бұрын
yes you do need to change the air shaft to change the travel. Certainly not as easy as the older durolux, but based on the few rides I've had this new EQ version is SO much better.

So is your old Durolux making a sound like a GI Joe laser gun from the cartoons? Because thats how my Auron sounds like. Fiew/fiew/fiew, it's noisy as fr@ck. Btw: Great thinking with the pvc pipe. It just never accorded to me :)
@ToogyHowser3 жыл бұрын
yeah sort of, it's more of a chirp sound, but only when the rebound is turned up
@patrick1978maas3 жыл бұрын
@@ToogyHowser A Chirp is nice. Mine does sound like a lasergun going downhill ;) no need to ring a bell though. By the way, can you tell me how you've set up the Durolux? There is one coming in here in the next couple of weeks for testing etc. It will be mounted on a Canyon Stoic hardtail.
