Gorgeous stamps! I have found that using a mouse pad or that spongy, foamy stuff that glass is often wrapped in when shipped, works as a sort of cushion underneath the paper that is being stamped and helps the stamps to create an even stamping. I see others have suggested ways to break in the stamp as well. Love creacked pistachio too! Yummy! Gorgeous little booklet! Love the cover! TFS the inspiration, Tina!

Someone may have already stated this but just a quick FYI regarding new clear stamps. Most have an oil on them from the making process and will cause them to resist the ink. I always “clean” my new ones with an eraser like children use. It works wonders and make your stamps work right away when you put ink on them. Thanks for sharing your talents!! 💜

Morniing Tina, thank you, once more, for a lovely and interesting tutorial. The butterfly stamp is gorgeous and looks really good on the book page. I agree with Kendra steck, if you put a bit of paint on your mat or on a saucer and then use the water brush, it is easier. Loved this video and the time spent with you. Sending love and blessings. Hope you and your family are all well and safe. Diana - Cape Town South Africa

Hi, I got a tip that helped me loads with new stamps. You just rub over the surface with a microfiber cloth and it removes any residue from the manufacturing process. I love stazon because you can colour, paint etc over it and it won't budge. I'm loving your stamps too 😍

You might try rubbing over new stamps with a brown paper bag. It's just enough to take the hard finish off without damage to the stamp. It's a hint an instructor gave me years ago and I've used it since. I always get a great stamp after.

Hi Tina, that booklet came out so nice!!Sometimes when I use a large stamp like that, I lay the stamp on the table and place the paper on top and press on the paper to get a good stamped image. It works pretty good most of the time. Sometimes I accidentally move the paper and don’t get a good image though 😉. Hugs 🤗

Stazon is good, but it can damage clear stamps due to the high alcohol content, so once used the stamp should be cleaned with Stazon stamp cleaner or a damp cloth. Cleaning stamps is a good habit to get into because ink builds up on a stamp and it won't stamp as well or crisp. Always enjoy your videos.

Maybe if you put something that resists wax across where you want to fold the page or put tape on it before you wax. That might help the "making signature fold" reinforced???

Most alcohol based Hand Sanitizers will clean Stazon Ink or other ink, off your clear stamping block & stamps (red rubber or clear) if you clean it relatively soon after stamping, squirt let sit for a moment and use cloth or baby wipe to clean off. Depending on the length of time the ink sits on the stamp you may have to apply a few times, but most residue will be removed. Not 100% if it works if ink has sat on surface for long periods of time.

Personally, I would never introduce a wet paint brush directly on the stamp pad. It leaves a spot with no ink in that area. Some people rub the ink pad on a stamp block or the glass cutting mat and then pick up the colour with the water brush. Lovely as usual.

I really like painting the stamped image with water brush & ink pad! I think it looks great!!! You have great ideas and are willing to experiment. I LOVE IT!!! I'm getting very excited now to try bees wax. I watch at least 1 of your videos almost DAILY. You've used bees wax in several videos now. And my imagination is going wild to try different ideas with it. *** QUESTION: Does the bees waxed paper stay greasy or "wet" at all??? Or does the wax completely solidify??? Need to look for an IRON when I'm out today. I checked Amazon last night. But the reviews were terrible unless you would pay $50 for an IRON. Need to make a stop at a thrift store for a cheap used iron!!! Its cold & rainy here today. So ironing seems like a great idea. I seldom iron my clothes. But I DO iron my dyed papers. I felt kinda weird IRONING PAPER!!! But I saw many videos with people ironing dyed paper for their junk journals!!! I like to know there are women out there being MORE EXTREME than me!! Haha! Thanks for the video. Stay safe & well. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU & YOUR FAMILY! Austin, TX USA

Lol, I did laugh when I read your comment, I am exactly the same.....I never iron my clothes but do iron my paper!!! Yes, a thrift store is a great idea to pick up an iron. They napkins do have a slightly greased texture using this method, but not that it comes away on your hands or anything. Hope you manage to get an iron, Merry Christmas. Have fun playing x
