I have the 20 000 leagues under the sea one and I think their colour and shimmer combinations was absolutely gorgeous, and captures part of the spirit of the book really well!

My partner got me the Kiki Wax seal for holiday present!!! Plus some extra stamp tops of more cats 🐈 So fun!!! I also showed him the Boba Bags (cause who doesn't love Boba!!), but admitted I didn't need another bag (yet). He also got me the I am a Cat ink - still need to play with it 😁 He sometimes pays attention when I send him things that are cute!

Connie, you present so well. Thank you for showing these products. I particularly appreciate that you demonstrate their use. For me, that is a key to capturing my interest. For example, you show how to melt wax and create a wax stamp in a very interesting way without taking a long time about it. I'm interested in the wax stamping process. Can an envelope sealed with a wax stamp be sent through the postal mail by itself? Wouldn't sorting equipment destroy the wax stamp? I also like the wooden airplane thing. That definitely has my interest. I could make something and hang it on my office cubicle door. (It is now 2 years till retirement for me.) Also, the dip pen is interesting, and so are the various inks. I almost want the inks just because they come in the beautiful glass bottles.

Great question! If you’d like to send your envelope through the postal service, use supple sealing wax instead of brittle sealing wax. This type of wax is flexible, so it bends rather than cracking. It’s also a good idea to take your letter or package to the post office to get it hand canceled. Hand canceling is when the postage is voided using a rubber stamp, so the mail doesn’t go through a sorting machine. Be sure to look up how your postal service handles decorations like wax seals. In the United States, envelopes with sealing wax require an additional non-machineable charge.

I've been eyeing the Wearingeul "I Am A Cat" ink ever since I saw about it on the newsletter -- the color is beautiful, as is the gold shimmer to go with it, so I'm hoping to be able to try it at some point! I also adore their "Queen of Hearts" ink, with its deep red color and bronze (copper?) shimmer to compliment. The "Alice In Wonderland" also looks quite interesting, with the blue ink and gold shimmer, so I also hope to try that one!

I love this ink, and I can confirm it truly has a LOT of gold in it definitely needs a broad nib needed. Alice is a darker blue than you might expect but again lots of glitter.

I would assume that the easiest way is to wipe it out with a dry paper towel/cloth when the wax is still soft, but I have only ever used the ones with the wick in the centre (which are fiddley and I don’t love, but I’m trying to use up before I get the melt in the spoon kind!)
