Thanks for the video. I don’t know about the millions of years thing though. Let’s keep pressing forward!

Check it out for yourself I just pulled this up on google as well Fish first appeared over 500 million years ago, and sturgeon first appeared approximately 175 million years ago. Today, these "dinosaurs of the deep" remain relatively unchanged.

Our earth isn't even greater than 5,000 years old (no evidence for anything prior to that). At best 5k, no more. Now, unless one supports evolutionary works, and Darwinism, this just is not logical my friend. I like you and am not stirring the pot, I just hate how this world and google indoctrinate society to support false news. It's like saying the earth is FLAT (people really believe that too). Anyhow, fish on! These new legislative policies don't stop me from casting a rod. @@DeadliestKastFishing

I became friends with Abe and Angelo back in the early 80’s. We met while we were out sturgeon fishing in our boat in the bay. We shared a lot of information back and forth. Good guy’s

I met them when I was a kid but didn’t even know it was them until like 10 years ago lol someone at the Sacramento show said hey how do you know them ? I was like I’ve know them since I was a kid lol the guy those guys wrote that book I was like really ? 😂 I’ve never read it but I know of it 😂 I asked Angelo for a copy and he said for what? You don’t need that book 😂 it was nuts they helped me so much when I was a kid and I am truly grateful for them taking the time to sit and chat with me when I was a kid those guys are legends for sure. I want to try and get them on the boat with me to do a sturgeon video.

Great day on the water Captain!! Always a great day when we get to fish on crew days! Looking forward to putting some new customers on some Dinos! "T"

Excellant in-site Deadliest Kast! Maybe the charter guys will need to divide the kept fish to everyone on the boat to hopefully keep the customers. It's such a bummer what is happening in our state. I invest a lot of money between my boat and my fishing gear. I pay property and sales tax for all of it. I think these crazy regulations are not only going to effect the small business in our sport but also the tax revenue in our state. Love your channel, keep up the great work!

Ya bro your speaking facts. It's the 30x30 plan we are letting him do this to us when we know for a fact they're wrong. Knowledge is power but power needs to be used for what you know is right

You are right about the numbers. I am a sturgeon fisherman. The key to this story is the governor at that time was Arnold Schwarzenegger and do to the levels on the delta he had to get rid of all those crabs. I Rember checking my bait and bring back a crab now and then. When they did that poison to kill them it seem like it only took two weeks and they where gone and I never seen another one ever again. So I call fish and game and asked them what they used to kill the crabs. He replied that he never heard anything about the eradication of the crabs. Now I know that he was hiding something because you would never say eradicating over the phone. I believe he was reading from a memo they were to use. The poison must of been like a cloud, heavy so to stay on the bottom. And sturgeon eat on the bottom. That's what thin out the fish not the fishermen that they said were depleting the river. Someone needs to bring that fact to the table. From 365 a year to 3 was crazy I belive it should be 12 a year. When they thined it out it just made it harder to catch them. Also one other thing about snairs. They also made it more dangerous to bring one into the boat. There are two kinds one that locks and one that don't. I was that one that sold the one handed snair that doesn't lock so if the sturgeon takes it it will fall off. Makes it safe for you and the the fish.

I’m getting sturgeon from the Benicia bridge all the way up to Rio Vista. They are all over the delta, so the crap that fish and wildlife are saying that all the sturgeon are in just one area is crap

Good video again bro. Do these Sturgeon regs. apply up North? Washington, Oregon Etc....?
@KnightOfZero117 Жыл бұрын
It's from the CDFW so I'm pretty sure it's just California for now, but who knows other states might adopt it too
@209fishingadventures21 Жыл бұрын
Oregon and Washington have these strict regulations. I'm sure it's where California got the ideas.

These regs are only in California

What model okuma Monterey would yall recommend for sturgeon?
@DeadliestKastFishing3 ай бұрын
@@Fishing_Cali925 For sturgeon I like using the 801M+ & 801MH they both will do just fine the 801M+ is a little softer tip and a little more parabolic of a rod I would use more for shallower water sturgeon but the 801MH would be your go to for heavier sinkers to cast out and deeper water to fish. But sometimes I go with a 801M and just really lay into them 😝 but you definitely will have to work it with 801M but you will see every bite. Hope that help out a bit bit I think 801M+ would be your best all around 🤙

I feel like as a personal fisherman it’s not that bad but for a business I think this is really bad. For the people who charter I feel like it will be harder to book trips since not everybody will be able to keep their fish. Great video. Makes it very clear
@DeadliestKastFishing Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s gonna be a bit challenging but this might encourage people to book together as a group versus 1 spot 🤷🏽♂️

So if you already tagged a sturgeon for 2023 does that mean you’re done for the year
@DeadliestKastFishing Жыл бұрын
Now that is a good question we will have to wait and see what they determine I would hope they make it from that point on but you just never know with DFW 🤷🏽♂️
