I have two of these, and both blur the black on a 13x19 slightly when on high quality mode. Any insight?

It could be the way the ink is dropping onto the paper. Maybe try a different paper type on high quality

Force it to use the photo black. My regular black is clogged right now. So I force the photo black to print and still use it just fine!
