Playing through the main game unlocks the flower pack, which picks random stages from the Flower World, among others. It's not a DLC pack. If it's not available, complete more worlds from the main game.

To clarify, yes you COULD do this trick in the main game, but it's a waste as you have a significantly lower coin cap, as well as limited Gold Flowers until you've 100%'d the game.

Negative. The main game has a MUCH lower Coin cap than Coin Rush's 30,000 cap. I haven't played the main game in forever, but I want to say the coin cap for each stage is 999.

Wouldn't it still be better to do this in the regular game rather than starting the Flower Pack over and over and hoping 3-4 randomly pops up?

No it wouldn't. Coin Rush has a cap of 30,000 while the main game's is either 999 or 9,999 (point is, it's significantly lower). Additionally, you don't have to select the Flower pack over and over hoping it randomly shows up. Once you get it, you can save your record afterward and then you can challenge your own record over and over, just as you could with a street pass record.

Since this is the regular 3-4, would this be possible outside of Coin Rush, so long as you have a stored Gold Flower? I'd imagine the normal game would allow you to get even more coins, since it gives you something like 400 seconds (if you can get 30,000 in the limited time Coin Rush affords, you should get easily triple that from the normal stage (600 lives, anyone?).
