The creator used a fan game that is amazing on its own, reworked the title, and passed it off as his or her own. I litterally skipped to the final boss to see if they remade the giant bowser chase scene but I found the exact final Boss from newer ds but without the music.

Some are 3D models while others are 2d sprites. This guy is playing this back on an emulator with upscaled graphics. This upscaling only affects 3D models like Mario, so 2d sprites remain low quality.
