I fitted one of those exact ones last year. It works really well but is a bit fiddly to set up the program times. How much food it releases will depend on the size of the food you are using. There is a plastic insert you fit in the bottom of the container that reduces the size of the hole.

I have always hand fed, and I still want to, but I tend to end up giving 2 good feeds a day, and I would like to move toward smaller feeds more often on a regular basis, from what I have gathered from reading up and you tubes, it is better to be consistant and regular, so for the first time this spring and summer I thought I would give a feeder a go.

I understand that, I have for over 30 years hand fed, never had one till now, I still want to hand feed in between times, but I do understand you can get good results from consistant regular feeding, we will see, if it does not work out I can go back to full hand feeding, but it is good if I were away, rather than next door feed them.

Worse fish feeder I have owned, there is no battery back up on it, and if you have a small blip with your electrics or the power company, it resets the timer back to factory settings, so if your away on hoilday your fish won't get feed

Very good points, but the way in which I will be using it they will not affect me, but battery back up and remembering last setting after power cut or turning off and one would be a great enhancement, I agree totally😀
