Mostly all the superhero suits look like this, they tighten and shape them in post production. I saw some behind the scenes video's of Marvel movies and the suits were all baggy and loose during filming, but not in the movie.

I saw somewhere that these suits come from a company in the movie and are not the hero's own suits. I really hope its true cause although the pictures in this video are the best the suit has looked the overall feel is still off IMO. The suit looks more like a fan made knock off than an actual superman suit.

I can't really make a determination yet. I remember back in 2011 or 2012, when I first saw Henry Cavill in the Man of Steel suit from a promo image. It was the one with him very slightly crouching shortly after he got thrown into the large safe. I don't think I liked it at the time, but couldn't put my finger on it. It wasn't because of the lack of trunks. I was okay with that part. Anyway, I grew to really like that suit. I can say the same thing about this one. I'm not sure I like it right now. But I'm not looking at it as it will appear on screen in the actual movie, so I need to reserve judgement for now.

Supermans 2025 suit is mixed with Superman Kingdom and the 1978 superman, thats what made Supermans Suit a remake of both of the versions. and the release date is set to july 11 2025 (should)

There is also another possiblity. Remember when Superman first apeared his costume was different. The S Symbol was smaller and the overall look of the suit was more "Home Made" looking. When they updated him the S got bigger and the suit started to look more high tech. ...So the Suit in the set photos may be his "Early Suit" and the suit in the promotional shot may be his more modern suit. So suit A my get discared or damaged at some point. This could be James Gunn acknowlging both the Christopher Reeves/Brandon Routh look...and the Henry Cavil look..... You just never know.

It's been said & it's going to continue to be said because it's true, the suit looks baggy on him. BUT it's kind of an interesting and maybe even nice change that it looks like a made outfit for a real person to wear and NOT some engineered / fabricated costume. I guess my position is that if the 'bagginess' of it doesn't distract from me enjoying Superman be super, then it works for me. If it turns out to be a change just to make a change to something different......then they would lose my ticket sale.

Complete the Snyderverse first, or at least in parallel since now multiverse are the "thing". Let Henry Cavill finish it and maybe do a movie crossing the universes so we get both Supermans. As far as I can see, this new movie looks like a cartoon DC movie made it to live action. That seems to be more for kids. Snyder did a perfect job with the darker theme for more mature audience. DC and mostly WB need to STOP messing with people and the DC fans.

The trunks just kill it for me. The M.O.S. suit was awesome because Cavil has the Kryptonian physique and the suit was dark and intricately designed. Aside from the trunks, the baggy look is a testament to Corenswet's lame physique. Hoechlin, Routh, Reeve, Christopher, Newton, Cain, Alyn, Welling & Reeves ALL had form fitting super-suits that they wore with pride and ease because they had the physiques to do it. This suit looks like an oversized Halloween costume from Etsy.

I like the fact that they included trunks & the “S” on the cape…also that it’s lighter in color. But it looks like the suit was made for a guy 3” taller & 50 lbs heavier. Like a little kid wearing his dad’s clothes to school. Way too baggy. I have no idea how muscular David Corensweat (sp?) is; doesn’t really matter with CGI they can add lbs of muscle to anyone (Gen Zod in Man of Steel anyone?) Let’s just say that Supes isn’t terribly…intimidating.

my problem with the suit is that its a missmatch of a bunch of things.. imo what would realy realy work well is that they litteraly just copy paste kingdom superman suit. the big S the way the trunks are cut and the cape. the larger straight Vneck that goes almost from shoulder to shoulder and then the large emblem makes is realy kryptonian looking. this suit looks like a 2th hand MCU suit that they pasted supermans emblem on.. the emblem on the cape is not good. the trunks are waay to big there is no V taper or muscle tone or nothing.. the suit needs to be skintight and show hes muscles bulging out like its almost gonna rip off from him.. and it should not be a thick belt at all.. just a thin strap. boots are a little weird with all the baggyness going on.. the boots of superman should be almost like a thick sock he wears not some workboots that go up to hes knees..

This new suit makes me appreciate Cavill’s suit in MoS even more than I already did. That suit (though too muted) is an absolute work of art. It got way over the top with the fake shiny muscles in the follow up films but MoS was perfection. It was regal and otherworldly and just straight up badass. David’s suit is NOT my cup o tea. Looks like ill fitting stiff foam and cheap plastic to me. I’m a Superman fanatic (film more-so than comics) so of course I won’t be able to resist seeing this buttttt… well here’s to hoping things look more impressive on film than in these pics.

If by 'broccoli haired' you mean he has curly hair, that's a natural hair type that was once fashionable (maybe this movie was set in that era), but is now fashionable to laugh at, strangely, and has been for quite a long time. If we're really becoming more open-minded, that should change. I agree on the belt, though, it looks really cheap, and will probably have to be fixed somehow in post.

The suit is still baggy, it should be fitted to his body. One of Superman's main features to his look is his physic, this suit doesn't emphasize that because it's not form fitted to him. It's also still bunching up in places it shouldn't. I don't hate the look of the suit itself. I like the New 52 inspired theme, but Superman's suit just shouldn't be baggy in the least bit. So I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. Let's see what it looks like on film.
