The things we would say and do on the job would all be so inappropriate today which is why I am not young in today's world. @brynleytalbot778
@brynleytalbot778 3 жыл бұрын
In a feminist perspective society why are men still making the move? If equality were the true objective women wouldn't be considered sluts for making a move, and men studs for being able to. We've a long way to go and these surveys prove it. Women, I believe, use body language, sometimes unconsciously, more than men, so I'm betting they flirt far more though don't want to admit it. It's keyed into biological reproductive needs which our genetics are motivating. Sexist, maybe.

A lot of younger guys are actually having nothing to do with modern women at all. More and more young guys are seeing how the deck is stacked against them. At any time a woman can decide that their consensual encounter wasn't consensual and ruin his life. Also the courts are stacked against guys in regards to divorce. Women the majority of the time will get full custody of children even id the father is the more fit parent. Half of marriages end in divorce and 80% of them are filed by women. A lot younger guys have seen this and decided that the risks of getting involved with women isn't worth and are deciding to focus on themselves.

A few years ago, I worked with a guy who, before this incident, was basically the "life of the office" at his previous job. One day, he told a pretty risque joke to a male coworker, literally at the water fountain...and was promptly reported to HR by a woman that he did not see, but overheard him. The VP of HR "read him his rights" inside an hour, finishing off with, "Were it not for the fact you've been an exemplary employee for 16 years, this would be your termination interview. Next time, it will be." Exactly *nobody* in HR had any interest in his side of the story, and the "good times guy" vanished overnight because "I was 4 years from collecting my pension and it simply wasn't worth it." No more jokes...strictly professional conversations only...no more "happy hours..." company events that he couldn't avoid altogether, he attended long enough to finish a glass of club soda and when the drink was gone, he made an excuse and bounced. Long-time coworkers noticed the abrupt change and when they asked, he told them what had happened. "I never did find out who complained about me and it doesn't matter. The workplace changed and I didn't notice that I needed to protect myself. Best way to do that is to be come to work all about business..."
