@tkcdac5 жыл бұрын
I have measured and you are not loosing low end. You are loosing the tactile feel of the sub that shakes room furniture and walls. Recently I found a major source of rattling in my room. Having isolated it, I thought my subs weren't high enough. Turns out that the missing rattling had me associating that buzz with bass. Was able to turn them up even higher as a result. So I auditioned Pb2000 pro and pc2000pro. I used to have pb2000 myself. PB 2000pro digs a little deeper and does sound more like related to bigger svs subs. Port plugs with sealed dsp also work very well. Generally It sounds bigger than pb2000 and a little cleaner but it doesnt have the amazing kick you get from 3000 and up ranges. My personal recommendation is that you pair 2000s with punchy speakers. I ended up going with pb3000 and boy it has more slam, super quick and also a bit more depth and overall headroom. Svs customer service is absolutely amazing. Chatting with them feels like you are visiting a local hifi store here in Finland.

Cannot figure out how to post any pics here, but I will say, there is NO buyers remorse on these. I am powering them with an Anthem MRX1120. After using the ARC, Anthem Room Correction, I played several great bass tracks, Ozzy, Disturbed, Godsmack, then played some movie scenes, Matrix, Aquaman, Midway, I was completely blown away. Dual is the way to go, so if budget is a concern, start with smaller dual then use SVS trade up process to move to larger bass later, if you feel you need it. I am no audiophile, or content creator, but do know tight, hard hitting clean bass, and rather music or movie, you will be happy with these. ARC actually had these set at a 110 crossover, and -28 on volume, I did change the crossover down to 50, and found that better for my listening, but had to leave the volume alone, as these things really do pump out the bass. I have no regrets, and at this time, am not sure about any trading up, really doubt the PC4000 could do that much better in my space than what these are producing. I will say, duals also allow the bass to not be positional, meaning, the room is immersed in bass, I could not tell where the bass was coming from, unlike the single I had, also ARC graph showed a HUGE difference in the graph on single vs dual, there was no big dips.

I'm rocking a sb2000 and can only give praise for this model and would love to have the extras that pro models give (app control and extra power). For anyone who was planing on buying a 2000 series, the new pro's are a no-brainer

Pssh, not for no $800 pricetag they ain't! I bought the old version on eBay for a cool $450 OTD...I wouldn't pay extra for a cheaper grill and some buttons I'll never use once I get the thing set up.

Now this is the video quality I'd expect from a guy with all this equipment. Sorry about coming across as an a-hole in my other comment.

Hi guys I actually own a single Rel HT 1205. Let me tell you that Rel is very detailed and refined compared to SVS pb 1000 i used to own. Ok pb 1000 did go lower (19hz) and made us feel the scenes below 21 hz, but thats the only praise i can honestly give it. Other than that, compared to the Rel SVS was boomy and one note, for example there was a night club scene with loud music and i could not work out the conversetion that was being had, but once i changed to the REL the same scene was so much cleaner (still loud) but i could hear and understand the speech going on in the club scene. Not just only that, but in so many aspects of all movies i watch i smile and realised i made the right choice. Guys trust me, just to feel some parts ( not many ) in certain movies you really dont wanna spoil the rest of the movie with boomy one not bass. You shoul enjoy all parts of a movie with a subwoofer not just some parts. Also Rel has been making only subwoofers for years, dont you think they now how to make ported subwoofers for movies, there is a reason why they dont go down that root, and that is because they put QUALİTY, DETAIL and SPEED of sound first.

This is only my opinion but this Room looks Super gaudy for any review. Way too many speakers for such a small space. I would grab two devialet golds and call it A-day.

He is moving soon, van Gogh didn't uses small canvas for his big ideas in pursuit for perfection. Simply not sure how 2 speakers can create imaging for "the HOME THEATER dude" :) BTW those Devialet Golds would be a massive drop in performance on every level.
