They are 1000% real. They have copyright text that would be difficult to fake and authentic serial numbers that are registered on Nintendo's website. They match up to everything the next handheld has shown talked about as well.

The mouse theory is so stupid. It doesn't work. You would have to get a clean flat surface and also keep the joycon level with the surface, which is very difficult because of its small footprint. It's most likely some sensor that will be used for future Labo products.

I definitely agree with you, the longer they wait the more leaks we are gonna get 🤷‍♀️. I said back in September at the first leak that there will for sure be more leaks if they wait longer. I also thought they would reveal the switch 2 in 2024 I even thought it would be out by summer 😂

​@nourata.5893 On may 7th 2024, Nintendo themselves have confirmed that the Switch successor will be revealed sometime during this fiscal year (April 1st, 2024) at the earliest and March 31st 2025 at the latest.) So, the Switch successor is guaranteed to be revealed in the next 3 months. By August 2024, I gave up on the Switch 2 being revealed in 2024 and Switched to Team 2025

Btw adding a mouse capability is so smart, but not that way via a small Joycon. Actually you can plug in a mouse to the current Switch! It’s just almost no games support it.

If I had to guess, maybe they just don’t care about the console details leaking and are much more focused on the software, considering I’ve heard like, NO big leak discussion on the games. Or maybe they just wanted that one last holiday season for Switch. And considering they’re down to one system they’re selling rather than having a home console and a handheld, it might’ve been a business decision they felt was necessary, to avoid sales slowing down more than they already had in 2024. I’m no business expert, so I cannot say if it was worth it or not, that’s just speculation.

Real. Someone put the new never before seen serial number (beginning with H instead of the joycon typical X) into Nintendos warranty website and it recognized it!! Changing just one didgit completely invalidates the serial number Also matches the September and Next handheld leaks 1:1

You missed the part where he says you can take a serial number of some other product and put it onto this, which would show that yes the serial number is real for something, but you can't confirm it's for that specific thing.

It was a DS serial number which is no longer active, but passes as real in the DB.😂😂😂

Now the C button makes perfect sense. Maybe to put the right Joy-Con in "Cursor Mode", where it is possible to use the right Joy-Con (and only the right one apparently, since there is no C button on the left Joy-Con) as a mouse. In addition, by attaching the strap to the side, it could reflect this laser to the top of the controller, turning it into a kind of "Wiimote". It would be perfect for pointing in shooting games, such as Call of Duty and MP4 Beyond.

Next console can play Switch games, so the next console still needs to work with the current joy-con in some form which includes connecting to the next console physically. So anything that goes against this fact you can eliminate as immediately as fake.

The thing that immediately comes to mind (where a mouse would be beneficial) would be menu navigation and/or first person mode. What if, the C button Changes a Joy-con into mouse mode? or Connect a wireless mouse?

If any leaks are true, then that will affect the excitement of the reveal as well. Instead of enjoying the reveal of features (regardless of your reception to it), now it will just be a basic reaction since we know of said feature.

4:14 - If it could be used like a mouse, strategy games and shooters would almost certainly add support for it. Using a mouse with those games is so much better and more accurate. I also know of a few indie games that try to use the touch screen on the Switch, and they could greatly benefit from being able to use a mouse when the Switch is docked. Also there have been some games that use the gyros to act as a mouse, and the JoyCons drift a lot. I can also see games that are ported over from PC (like No Man's Sky) that work great with mice. The list of games that would benefit from the JoyCons acting like a mouse is larger than you think. This also means more games will start having support for USB mice - which the current Switch actually already supports! If Nintendo actually pulls off being able to use their JoyCons as mice - this could potentially be revolutionary. The gap between PC gaming controls and console controls has been a known problem for a long time, and the mouse is the reason for that gap.

If it's fake - it's probably CGI or AI. I'm leaning away from 3D printing because I'm not seeing any telltale signs of it (layer lines and certain imperfections that 3D prints tend to have, also way too high detail). But I'm leaning towards this is real.

I think that the story about how everything about the Switch 2 was leaked before its official announcement is going to be really interesting once we know it or how they managed to make such convincing fakes.

It's just more Nintendo Switch. It's going to have a bigger screen, a few neat new features, games are going to run better especially at higher resolutions via Nvidia's DLSS, but at the end of the day it's still a Nintendo Switch. Nintendo games are still going to be Nintendo games with a bit of a bump to graphics. Nintendo has never been entirely about pushing graphics, but the most recent push with the latest Pokemon game, Scarlet and Violet, showed that Nintendo is at least trying. The games were buggy, the game still sold, and Pokemon fans enjoyed the hell out of it. I want to see Nintendo truly shift gears with their brand new Switch 2 by delivering super high quality visuals, that utilizes every single watt of power they can squeeze out of it, and I don't think we are going to see it happen. Maybe some huge leaps here and there, but it might not be until 2026 to 2027 when Nintendo developers feel absolutely comfortable pushing this thing, as well as if the added development time is worth the additional processing costs. When it comes to 3rd Parties titles, developers are going to have a field day porting games to the Switch 2 no problem. But, are you going to choose your Switch 2 to play that next hot title, or will you stick to your Xbox Series X or PS5 that will beat the Switch 2 in terms of raw performance? Will I personally be purchasing games on the Switch 2 that underperforms when compared to my Xbox Series X, PS5, or my beefy Gaming PC? Hell No! Many questions, tons of possibilities, but I do not think the Switch 2 is going to feel like a revolutionary new next step for Nintendo like they have launched previously in the past. The Switch 2 looks like it'll feel the same, it's certainly going to dock the same, and it will undoubtably be an upgraded Switch. More Switch may be exactly what most Nintendo fans want, while others may disagree and wanted something substantially different. Nintendo needs to reveal the new Switch 2 before people start to worry about if upgrading is absolutely the most necessary call to make. My biggest fear is this and there is not doubt about it, and that is the current Switch holding the Switch 2 back. Nintendo is following exactly what Xbox did, where Xbox released the Xbox Series X, as well as it's far less functional little brother, the Xbox Series S, and the little brother held the flagship series back. So, while I might not sound thrilled here throughout the entirety of this comment, I'm not going to lie, I'm still excited to see the Switch 2! Will I buy it? Maybe? Probably? Honestly though, the more time goes on without seeing the Switch 2 in action, the more I question this system, and the less hyped I get. It's time Nintendo to show us what you got.

In all honesty I don't have much sympathy for Nintendo. There comes a point too far where you shouldn't wait too long in the modern day and if the recent batches of leaks are real, that's on them, and it'll continue to be on them if they don't reveal it very soon. That said, I seriously don't care too much about the console. It's pretty clear it's going to be a Switch with some differences, but I just want to see the games!

I think they were at least originally going to release a Switch 2 as their main next gen system, but the market is completely different now, it's saturated by handhelds, the Switch invented a new market, and now Nintendo probably want to move on, not to say there wont be a Switch 2, but it's likely Nintendo is deep into R&D for a new full console platform.

Now that I’ve seen these joy cons.. ouch! 😢I’ll stick with my steam deck for a while and will probably not get the new console at launch as well. Let’s see if they can convince me otherwise. Agreed, Nintendo dropped the ball big time if this turned out to be real. Personally, I lost all hype last September already, xant care much anymore and just waiting for them to reveal the machine at this point I'm probably not even gonna get the machine on day one. I'm very pessimistic in regards of release of Switch 2, and honestly don't see it release until late summer(September) or even holiday 2025 (November) I just hope to be wrong on that. Sadly more often then not my gut feeling is right on these things, and really hope to be wrong this time...
