Hey Karl I got an L6 this winter with that whiter hamon, and it turned out to be a fake. Polished it off and tried everything acid and polish to make it show, but actually TH blade. Fake hamons have come a long way in the last few years. It actually looked really good. Not saying this one is the same way, but looks damn near.

JKOO Sinosword,Murasame,Bohihyu. The last two are on Amazon. Shop around and find what you like. Depending on what you are cutting can determine what kind of steel you should use.
