It seems summer is finally happening in the UK! It won't last though and I'm making the most of it.
Join me on a ride on some great roads around Durham. Sunshine, great cake and a stop off at my local bike shop.

Thanks for this Dave, really great video. I've got sun, smooth roads and coffee/cake stops here in Lanzarote, but what I don't have is Durham scenery and spesh bike shops. More vlogs of your training is fine by me 👍😎🚴

Enjoyed that one Dave. Love seeing the roads up your way. Daughter will be working at Durham hospital next year so I may get the opportunity to get out and ride some of those roads. Not sure I fancy ‘The Wall’ 😂

More focus on cafe stops might get me back out riding mate 😆 However, I think the only time I ever went to the dairy barn, was on one of our 'winter training rides'.. awful weather and freezing cold.. and it was closed.. gutted was an understatement 😆

Hi Dave, love the camera angles, very cool. I see you’re just getting the “sky red” color on SWORKS Tarmac SL8’s there in the UK. We’ve had them here in the USA for a few months now and I grabbed a frameset and an integrated cockpit as soon as they were available on the Specialized website here. I built it up with Dura Ace 12 speed and have been riding it for a few months now. What great bike! Didn’t expect such a comfortable ride for a full on race bike. Everything you’ve said about the bike is true.

Still on mate. Just mate local rides private… security/ expense bikes etc etc… I wasn’t sure how I could configure it, but I can still make certain rides public and hide others as I choose. 👍

@@daveridesagain you can set the privacy zone to be massive but you are dead right to be cautious with 50% of the UK’s S-Works bikes in your garage and all that 🤣 good stuff mate

Hey Dave, thanks for such pleasant and delicious video! I have an practical question about your handlebar. I've seen a couple of reviews where they say that the sl8 handlebar is not good, because of its special angle the garmin screen is unreadable. Is that true? Please illuminate this question when the occasion becomes suitable.

Hey thanks for watching. I’ve used 3 different garmin head units on this mount. I’ve not had any issues and can read everything fine. I also ride with quite a few others who have the exact same set up. Zero issues, comments or complaints… So I’d say if you were considering this set up but were put off, go for it. Hope this helps 👍
