It’s a nice bike, really, but I can see it being really tight on that boardwalk if there was another biker coming the other way. Keep on keeping on and have a happy and safe summer.

I’m thinking about adding one to my wife’s Rover so she can keep up. Thank you!

@@JohnnyCombat Could you please post links to where and what you purchased to electrify the Rover? I have a 2012 Rover I would like to do the same way.
It's funny I am like I don't know what a eight speed is like... I have a '24' speed mtb, sadly it is actually a 9 speed and 13 repeated ratios of 7 of those 9 speeds......

These trikes interest me. I’ve watched many videos of trikes on bike paths & restricted roads, but never one showing a trike in traffic. It looks unsafe as they are below a motor vehicles line of sight. Show me I’m wrong.

That's why they have so many options for flags, doesn't make it totally safe but it helps a lot.

I always felt safer on the road with either my trike or two-wheel recumbent. The main reason was that motorists are not used to seeing them so they are noticed quicker than a d-frame bike. With a d-frame, motorists seem to be so used to them that they will look through them since a bicycle (sub-consciously) doesn’t appear to be a threat like another automobile. You must still remain vigilant, but I still feel motorists notice the unusual style faster.

Could of used one of those some time ago instead of a road legal mobility scooter trike with a top speed of 8mph.

Trikes of all kinds suck trying to get them through pedestrian gates and infrastructure. They can be surprisingly hard to see when riding on trails, and a big percentage of owners don't have a flag on a mast. I was surprised at how bad the braking systems are. They have a wide footprint when sharing trails with standard bikes and all the other modes of pedestrian transport. They're scary when riding along with/in traffic. They are heavy and awkward to load on racks. They're a poor design for carrying gear. Most importantly for me, you can't ride single-track. But for anyone that can't physically ride a standard bike, they can keep you riding pretty much year around. I'd love to see a really high-quality suspended reverse trike, 1000W mid-drive turning a Rohloff Speedhub with a belt drive, 3-point balanced hydraulic brakes, and huge rotors... but no one makes one.
