How many years will it take even the legacy car companies to make a good ev and make a profit prob 5-10 years at best. Robotaxi is new market and you just wait.

And there were ways to do most of the things they advertise as new years earlier but they don’t advertise it or it takes a bit too much for the average iPhone user to perform so it doesn’t catch on until they make it easier. Like that stupid phone bump thing Samsung had over a decade ago. The next year I was easily able to do it on my phone but then 4 years later apple actually listed it as a new feature after it got smoother then when it still wasn’t catching on they rereleased a much more refined version in the last couple years.

Just got an update including "a.s.s." actual smart summon. pretty sure tesla is pissing on us and calling it rain. Just update the darn thing. We know we purchased a promise from a troll. Just make good on it. Asses lol It's funny how I use fsd in rural nj and know it's far from ready for this area, know park assist is far from ready and smart summon has not been ready. Yet fsd is just about perfect people 😂. Ready to safely get me from a to b but still shakey in a parking lot. Ty for the content Ryan 🍻 edit ty for touching on ass. I'm not sure about the shortcuts on Android but you can do all of these things on Android and you can use your phone to tap the drivers side pillar and lock or unlock your car. If it doesn't work, make sure your phone is not locked.

Still of the opinion that tesla might license the entire unboxed factory and FSD. Meaning a company like apple would build a unboxed factory to spec and build robotaxi with FSD. tesla alone would take more than a decade to meet the global demand for robotaxi. And there is the need to replace the aging fleet every year. As example if in 2030 5 million robotaxis are made, they would retire in 2040 being replaced by 5 million new ones. Its possible that tesla robotaxi day will include the announcement of a licensing deal.

Oh and another thing. Tesla might allow investors the option to franchise one or more robotaxis. Rather than buying and owning a tesla, one would pay tesla a franchise fee for one or more robotaxis that would remain entirely under tesla's management as part of their fleet. The investor would have no responsibility to own nor maintain the robotaxi but they would profit share over the life of the robotaxi in a given market.

Wish they would improve the ability to park your car. The Tesla vision stuff is crap compared to basic parking sensors that every car has. I had to buy a 3rd party wall sensor for my garage just to park my new Model Y. Pretty lame for a $48,000 car. Music connectivity also sucks unless you pay the Tesla monthly data fee which no one seams to mention. So to listen to your streaming service (apple, spotify etc) you get to pay for the service and pay Tesla. Love the way the car drives just wish they could improve some of these small items I use everyday.

Worth remembering that parking lots are the most complex place to drive with the most impact dangers and chaotic situations and pedestrians. Per mile driven, it is a massive majority of accidents that happen in parking lots Just most are fender benders, only 20% cause insurance damage, rarely cause injury and many are not reported at all. So a.s.s. working perfectly in that environment is probably going to be behind FSD in advance to toward perfection. Not ahead of it as most people assume.

The reason they’re doing well in china is because they’re classed as cheap cars there. A model 3lr is only about 30 thousand pound.. that’s 20k cheaper than the UK. They’re it’s classed as a cheaper/poorer people’s car.

For anyone with a newer Tesla or someone contemplating a first time Tesla or EV for that matter, mostly Tesla, I have a 2023 Model Y Performance with 11K miles. MSRP was close to what it is now. Anyhow, Tesla gave me a trade in value (that is strictly unseen and non-negotiable) of $34,600 in its best condition. Wish they incentivized loyalty and increased trade in for Tesla.
