I had a 2019 Model 3. When I tested the Model 3 refresh, it was like driving my old Model 3 with noise cancelling headphones on. I loved the steering wheel turn signal buttons too. I got the a model Y last August so hopefully the new Y is super awesome to make me feel regret.

I just got a 2024 MYP in Oct of 2024. Was really worrying about if I was going to have buyers regret buying the "old" Model Y, but the 4k off inventory, 7500 federal and the 0% APR I could not pass it up. All that said, I don't have any remorse... I would like to have the vented seats, but I feel like no one ever does those right. I do really like the lighting, but I can get that added for like $800 bucks. So I'm pretty happy with my choice, it is a nice refresh, but I don't think its enough to make people want to buy it if they already have a v4 car.

I'm surprise they kept the stalks for the turn signal, but remove the one for drive, reverse, and park. I guess that's a good compromise so many of the people who complained about having difficulty choosing the correct turn signal when the steering wheel is turned have their primary issue resolved. Will you trade in your Model Y for the new one when it's available for the US market?

I like the black wheel option on the chinese website, surprisingly it’s not on australias website. I also suspect they didn’t add ventilated seats? That kinda kills it for me also not a fan of the exterior light changes but it is what it is I guess. I will just stick with my toy matchbox tesla roadster for now.

Love the feature update, kinda hate the new model Y look. The front looks bizarre and doesn't flow well while the back looks okay but the license plate should be back on the hatch to break up the large space. I'm glad I didn't wait for the new one.

The new specs are pretty disappointing ngl. The 0-60 mph time has increased from 3.5s (old MY) to 4.3 seconds (New MYJ), while the range remains largely unchanged. The redesigned front and rear fascias are the vehicle's main enhancements, along with the FBC. This sucks.. They could've redesigned the door handles, make them more practical..

@ the improvements are looking really good. I got a discount on the car and got to use the tax credit +0% financing. I just couldn’t pass it up and I’ve always wanted one. The only thing is I ordered it and forgot about the referral code so I didn’t get the thousand off.

@@MrJwalker2008 Ya 0% for me as well. Plus Co gave 5k rebate and also there was another program called vxc rebate which further reduced the cost of the car by 6k. So all total it was 32k for model long-range AWD seven seater. Still I think front bumper camera will be a big deal for fsd as it eliminates all blindspots. Without it I don't think our cars can be fully autonomous.

There was room for improvement for ride quality and noise level so I'm really looking forward to seeing reviews that focus on that. The front camera was on my wish list but I don't think I'll get the power frunk I wanted. They made the rear seats power folding but I only do that twice a year and I use the frunk weekly. Also, they still make you buy wheel covers... WTF! What happened to the best part is no part. All those do it scratch up your wheels before you get a chance to take them off. I have two sets of those $%^&!*@ things in my attic right now.

So no 800 volt architecture, no 500 mile range. Basically for an extra 10K you get essentially the same car with a couple more cheap LED's, a square steering wheel and a rear screen that your 7 year old is going to put his foot thru 30 minutes after you get the car.

@@LowmanGames I would say pretty much never. I'm OK with the standard 300-350 mile range of most electric cars. BUT if they want to charge significantly more money for essentially the same thing there should be significant improvements in the product. I don't call a few more LED lights and a cheap camera that it should have had in the first place worth an extra 10K.
