I enjoy Vlach's work. His books and lectures bring scholarly respect to historical-grammatical hermeneutics in an academic world of allegorical and anagogical interpretations.

Ah Hebrews 8, my Reformed Baptist pastor's "favorite" go to chapter when explaining to me that "everything in the OT including prophecy" has passed already and fulfilled in Christ while in the same time neglecting the Mosaic Law as the context of what's fading away in light of the New covenant when those parts of Hebrews are exegeted properly. When I ask scrutinizing questions regarding where that was mentioned in Hebrews, the pastor really doesn't want to discuss it in length with me for he's saying it will cause division rather than unity for the congregation.
