So true, indeed in gratitude is healing. all of the modern psychologists/therapists all say that to feel less depressed or down, you should show gratitude for what you have. Things such as a gratidude journal are useful. I personally do it and find it helpful.

Assalam alaikum Mr Ismail ,I have a question .... I am currently a student of secondary education and I had to choose which filed I would take and carry on in future. After I decided the field and it’s currently about 2 years from now and I am still in delusion and confusion whether the field I choose was better or not I also did the prayer of isthikhara but I am still in the same condition ..... I want to know what is allah asking from me and what does he wants me to do? I would really appreciate it if you answer me mr Ismail 😌

As-salamu alaikum 1)after isikhara whats best for you is already written, so don't worry about it. 2)now for the peace of mind, it is permitted to istikharah multiple times when you are not sure at the first time (but whether u do it or not, you fate is already written towards the best inshallah after first time you have prayed). 3)If you would ask me for a suggestion when your mind says 50% for field-A and 50% for field-B what should I do after istikharah? I would suggest In one word "Keep you religion first above everything and see which is more beneficial for your afterlife" what I means is , Ask yourself [ assuming both field-A and field-B halal ] a)Which field helps more people? A or B ( because you will earn more good deeds) b)Workload of which field hampers your prayer and other worship (like zikir, recitation, etc.) ? A or B c)Which field might lead you to haram more likely? A or B d)Which field have more Muslim friendly environment? A or B and so on... Now see which field gets more vote, finally, see your passion, is being specialist-A is preferable to you than specialist-B? I am sure you will find answer I pray to Allah so that he helps you to take the best decision in every aspect of life. Pray for me too .
