Will you able to see the spear on your back in third person? Also is it a 2 slot tool? Because if it’s 1 slot then this makes all the knives even more irrelevant, at least the axe still has some uses.

As it’s a tool no I don’t think you see it on the player. It’s a single slot tool but I still has the massive downside of a capacity of 1 without frontiersman and very steep stamina consumption. The knives I think would still be better in that regard especially as a pve tool.

No clue why they nerf Flechette now, making shotguns even more useless than they already were but the Dum-Dum nerf is great. Now's just fire and poison missing and the whole "Elemental/CC-Ammunition" problem is gone.

Yea fr.. I hate that 50% of the time i die is not due to a skillfull headshot, nope! It's to a special ammo arm/leg shot, that bleeds me out slowly, and everytime they hear me try stop the burning/bleeding, they rush, and if i stop what i'm doing to shoot back, they'll keep going back and fourth until i bleed/burn out. It's so messed up...

@@Ace-fi8vsI don't think that this is bad, since thats kinda how the ammunition is supposed to work. I just think it's way too strong in it's current state. Bleedammo just does what it does way too well. Fire Ammo either kills you entirely or if you win the fight anything else but flawless, you're left with so little max HP that you can instantly extract. Poison ammo is to black and white, it either does nothing if the opponent is antidoted or does everything at once.

@@Ashen_Night116 i like High Velocity, as it'll increase my Aperature Winfield 400 velocity to 600 i believe, matching me against the Long Ammo guns, but i do agree to be honest. I wish there was no special ammo at all. It's annoying. I keep dying to bleeding / burning by players that hit me in the arm and hide until they hear me try and stop it, just for me to pull out a gun, and they'll stop running towards me and wait, AGAIN. It sucks D:

The krag needed a buff but that's definitely too much. Now it shoots faster than the other ones, reload without losing a bullet, has more total bullets than the others, has the second bigger magazine capacity AND kills people who lost an health bar. Other than that, I don't get it, the spear is a weapon or a tool?

It’s definitely a strong buff to a gun I already thought was well balanced. Spear is a tool like the throwing axes and knives

Yeah I felt like that was a weird change, though sometimes they change seemingly random things in preparation for future events or updates so perhaps there’s something regarding immolators in the August update that will explain the change.

I think this might be the death of the point of ever using a knife. Why use a knife when you have this tool that can one tap hunters with a heavy stab?

I think there’s still several viable reasons to take the knife, way less stamina consumption (2 heavy attacks with the spear and you’re out) and a slash attack with the knife for clearing wire. Also yeeting away your only melee weapon can cause you some issues 😂 that being said the spear is definitely solid from the few games I’ve played with it but knife is still a solid all-rounder

i dont play this game anymore since years, i just follow the news here and there. spear barely fits into the setting, but well ok. making immos immune to poison cloud is one of many pseudo changes they did over the years. its as if they desperately try to keep the game fresh, so they can continue the update/skin release cycle. its just a pseudo change. going one step to the left and then goin one step to the right afterwards, just to pretend the game is moving forward. its the same with increasing krag damage from 124 to 126. its pointless. they are so afraid to make fundamental changes to the game, altho some aspects could def. need some rework.but it will never happen. i did quit years ago when they introduced the trade changes and they never touched it again over so many years XD they never tried to build on the rpg aspect of the game or anything similar. this game is moving nowhere since forever now and is getting nonstop pseudo content, which seems to , suprisingly, satisfy a lot of people. i dont belong to those. crytek cant be blamed. i see this a lot in general these days. people are so dependent on consumption, such empty personalities, that they will just eat everything companies throw at them as long as they can get at least a tiny amount of stimulus

How does a throwing spear not fit the setting? They were widely used by the Native Americans, it’s as fitting as a hunting bow or combat axe is. They’ve made several fundamental changes to the game with dynamic weather and self revive the last year and the games also about to get a complete engine upgrade, UI overhaul, new map and boss in august so I’d hardly call that pseudo content…
