I’m looking forward to trying these out next week in Lincoln on what I imagine is a very similar surface.

My thoughts: On my 3665 lbs camaro ss I've won in two fast regions and 2nd and 6th in pax with a cam c car 500 wheel hp on these tires at 30 rear 33 front and no cracking or any issues they're half worn after 1 full optima event and 2 autox events. Total of 13 laps on 1:50 course (pressure hot 36 front and rear). 24 auto x runs average 47 seconds, 8 speed stop (3s) runs. I'm doing another full optima event on them. I'm blown away that they're still working and lots of tread left. They're like an rs4 wear with rival s 1.5 grip and re71r feel. They slide very much like a rival but feel like re71r. So pretty forgiving over drive but with response. I just ordered another set. Likely the last set in the US in 305 30 19 until 8/19 which is the back order date everywhere I've looked.

Super excited for the future tests vs A052. Surprised you went with the 215. I'm on the 225 rt660 for the texas tour tomorrow hopefully it goes well. Vivek is on the 225 re71r so will be interesting to see. Did you stay with 30/28 pressures? It felt kinda like it was rolling over to me at 30 in the front on the test and tune course today so i went up a little.

That's what I've been hearing about these. They have soft sidewall and after few runs there is centerline cracking.

I have seen pictures of cracking and delamination, however mine have not exhibited any of that so far.

is this good for a car that is daily use for work? and only go at streets and freeways?
@slapology32773 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you daily drive this but are they noisy? How good is the grip in the wet when cruising around town?
@fastpaxSCR3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I do not have any experience with these tires in the wet, and only very limited time with them on the highway. They are a little noisy, but not as bad as the Bridgestone RE-71R.

Not sure if I missed it, but did you do the A052 comparison? Any track days on each tire for comparison?
@fastpaxSCR3 жыл бұрын
I have done some autocross testing that I have not published results for, still some testing yet to do but I will have something up for my viewers soon. Unfortunately no, I have not done any track testing...at the moment I do not have a suitable track car besides the Miata, and I don't want to install a heavy roll bar ;)
@apordonez3 жыл бұрын
@@fastpaxSCR I know it's much safer to have a full roll bar, but tracking the ND with the factory hoops was a ton of fun (just kept things to 9/10 or 10/10 without going too crazy). I had an ND1 setup for SCCA C-Street prior to my Cayman R. I'm about to switch from A052s to RT660s, which is why I was curious about the comparison. Looking forward to your review!

Man they seem super sticky

Yeah...but are they any good on an s2000?
@fastpaxSCR3 жыл бұрын
I don't see them as being car specific, but I do think pinching them onto a narrow wheel will have diminishing returns. They have softer sidewalls than RE-71R's, and they run big...so I recommend squaring them up to whatever rim size you have vs. stuffing on the largest tire possible.
